Summary
During a French nuclear test in the Pacific, a nest of lizard eggs is mutated by radiation. Decades later, a colossal reptile emerges and heads toward New York City. The U.S. government recruits Dr. Niko Tatopoulos, a biologist specializing in radiation's effects on wildlife, to investigate the creature. Dubbed "Godzilla" by the media, the monster wreaks havoc, clashing with the military in a destructive rampage. The situation escalates when Niko uncovers Godzilla's nest in the city, containing 200 eggs on the verge of hatching, threatening an even greater catastrophe.
