Work Text:
Alex never imagined that the Crown’s and White House’s solution to the chaos caused by his disdain for the Prince of England’s hearts was to make them live together alternating between the White House and the Palace and doing charity events in between. He supposes that he’s lucky that the Prince was willing to spend more time in US since Alex had school.
And he’s even luckier that they’ve been able to actually melt the ice between them and become actual friends instead of fake friends.
Which is how they end up in Alex’s room, more often than not, teasing each other about their tastes in various things from movies to the fashion disaster that is those grey ties Henry always wears.
Tonight, they decided to have a Star Wars movie marathon which naturally caused teasing and joking. Alex teases Henry about the romance of being a writer (his secret wish dream) and getting to be with whoever he wants to be with, which apparently is difficult for Henry.
Alex doesn’t get it and he says just that when Henry says, “Christ, you’re as thick as it gets,” and suddenly grabs Alex’s face and kisses him soundly.
Oh, oh, oh. Suddenly everything clicks into place and as Henry pulls away in shock, and muttered sorry on his lips, Alex doesn’t hesitate to say, “Don’t be,” and follow that kiss with their second kiss.
Alex can’t get enough of Henry’s soft lips, and after the initial shock, they’ve both melted into each other. Alex shifts so he’s straddling Henry’s waist pushing him into the couch cushions. Henry’s hands run from his hair down his back to his waist, pulling him ever closer. Alex runs his own hands the opposite way, up Henry’s chest to his hair.
It’s clear that neither of them wants to this to end, but at some point, they need to breathe.
Alex pulls back just slightly, he doesn’t want to get too far from Henry’s lips, but they should… talk about this. Especially with the hard-ons that they’re sporting.
“So… that was really … nice. And I definitely want to keep kissing you, but I’m totally confused,” Alex admits, blushing slightly.
Henry coughs. “Well, I – I have been thinking about kissing you for quite some time and I…”
“Want to do it some more?”
“That and so much more,” Henry admits. “I’ve quite fancied you for a while, but I didn’t want to ruin our friendship now that we’re in a good place…”
Alex hums. “That makes sense, but now that we have crossed that bridge, I don’t exactly want to go back.”
“I definitely do not want to go back to not kissing you, either.”
“Good.”
With that, he goes back to kissing Henry, knowing that there’s still a lot to discuss, but also knowing that right now he doesn’t care.
Right now, all he wants to do is get lost in Henry’s lips and clearly, Henry isn’t objecting.
They could talk all they want later.
Much, much later.
