this doesn't really go into depth about either of their powers, but i read the prompt and the hero names sapphire and satellite popped into my head and immediately i knew i had A concept <3 i don't know if i'll come back to them but i do love the idea of them and i'd love to see them fleshed out if anyone else feels the desire to take the reins

Sue her, Gem is salty.

It makes her want to outright defect sometimes. Grian would kill her if she tried, though. Well, if he could catch her - Impulse has friends in low places; she'd be able to hide for a little while at least.

It's just the insufferable smugness of her. The faux-innocent look that Satellite gives every time as she steps up to the plate, directly after Sapphire, and every time knocks Sapphire's test results directly out the park.

It kills her to watch Satellite outperform her. More strength, more speed, faster reflexes - she's perfect, and perfectly fucking infuriating.
