Summary
“You really do look like a wolf, did you know that? Dunno what I expected, I mean, it’s in the name. Werewolf.” She was a dunce, an absolute buffoon, but his tail was wagging so she continued. “I’m glad the wolfsbane worked—at least, I think it did? You don’t seem murdery, which is lucky for me, I suppose.” He tilted his head, watching her as she moved from one end of the room to the other.
“I’m not all that surprised that you took it,” Hermione said, clarifying at his whine. “The Mark. I am surprised that You-Know-Who allows werewolves into his ranks, considering his views on,” she paused, considering. “Purity.”
Malfoy barked at her, not too loud but a bit jarring nonetheless; she paused on her path and looked at him, hands thrown in the air.
“What? We both know I’m right,” he chuffed and she continued, satisfied with the accuracy of her statement. “You’re dirtier than me now, even with your pedigree.” The wolf pawed at the ground, distressed.
“Oh, go cry about it. You taught me the word mudblood when we were eleven. This is karmic retribution.”
