"SAVE ME ICY! HEEEEEEELLP!!"
Ice Cube sat in one of the many burnt, dead trees, lost in thought. It was helpful that she was so small, making it easy to find hiding places like within the trees. But it was Bracelety's words that pushed her to seclude herself. Now, sure, Book's behavior and her overall desire to move away from all the stuff she's gone through in BFB heavily pushed this, but it was Bracelety that was the final straw. Ice Cube felt... guilty.
Seeing Bracelety's desperate face, calling out to Ice Cube. Hearing the, although Ice Cube didn't exactly WANT to admit it, cute yet pained voice, clearly hurt by however long Four had kept Bracelety there. And seeing Bracelety reach out, asking for help from, among anyone, not someone strong, not someone big, not someone who would help without hesitation, but instead, Ice Cube. She gets Bracelety sees her as an idol, but from anyone, she chose to ask for Ice Cube.
Ice Cube stared out upon the barren wasteland, her mind wandering. Why her? She was this vengeful, revenge-seeking cube who was not even a FULL MEMBER of FreeSmart during her time there. She got mistreated again and again, killed over and over by Blocky (she was second-choice behind Bubble), and then was never listened to by Book. She didn't even speak more than just a few limited things, as she didn't WANT to. What did Bracelety even see in her? Because, honestly? Ice Cube didn't see much in herself.
Ice Cube felt a drop of water hit her, as she looked up to see dark clouds with rain starting to fall. The rain was cold, harsh, unwelcoming. Most at this point looked for shelter, many retreating to the hotel. It was, yes, not really meant for them YET, but it was raining and so they didn't care. A few stayed out, like Tree and Black Hole, but another, of course, was Ice Cube. She felt sad, like the rain.
She also felt self-conscious. What would anyone see in her? She felt disposable. She wanted someone's comfort, for them to tell her everything she thought of herself wasn't true. But who would do that? ...Bracelety?
Thinking of all Bracelety had done, how much she cared, made Ice Cube realize something. She wanted someone's attention. Someone who would love her and smother her and wash everything away. Make her feel more than just a character in a game. And Bracelety made her feel all of those things. But also something more. Something fuzzy, something warm, like the sun breaking through the rain. Bracelety was a rainbow where Ice Cube was thunder. They were not meant to co-exist, but in certain rare events, they could.
And Ice Cube? She wanted the brightness and warmth of a rainbow after a storm. Bracelety was that rainbow, and Ice Cube was stuck in that storm.
