Day 2 | “If that cat trips me one more time,”

Work Text:

Every time Raven's favorite human brought over her favorite human, Raven decided to spend her time testing the blonde-haired girl. "Elphie, princess, I don't think your furball likes me very much," Raven yawned at the words as she continued to watch her favorite human's reactions to the other girl's words. She took in the scoff that left Elphaba's lips.

Raven's lips twitched into a small smile as she listened to Elphaba lightly scolding the other human.

"Please use her name, Glinda," Raven's human begged.

Raven blinked.

The other human's name was Glinda.

Of course, the Bombay cat knew what the other human's name was.

She just didn't care enough to remember the other human's name.

She wasn't important to Raven.

Her human was important to her. In fact, Raven knew it was time for nervous pets, and she approached Elphaba, already knowing she was going to feel long and sharp nails gently scratching her fur.

Raven couldn't help but purr and relax in her human's arms as she focused her copper eyes on Glinda for about three seconds before turning away from the blonde-haired girl, causing Glinda to frown at the cat.

"If that cat trips me one more time," Glinda started but when Elphaba looked over at the other human with a slight glare, she wisely closed her mouth.

Raven's ears twitched as she continued to melt underneath her human's gentle pets and scratches.

The other human stayed quiet.

Good.

Elphaba is scary enough when she's tired.

Raven continued to purr, wanting to make Elphaba feel relaxed again. The cat could feel the other human's eyes on her, and she grinned at her, knowing she was making her feel jealous. "Elphie," the other human whined.

Raven watched her human lovingly roll her eyes as she kissed the other human.

Right.

There was no need for the other human to feel jealous.

Her human loves both of them, and that was just fine with Raven.
