My (M35) rival (M?) just destroyed my office

Summary:

So this morning I was leading a very important meeting (time-sensitive too) when a... rival of mine, let's call him S for the sake of this post, crashed said meeting. Literally. There are employees sweeping up glass splinters as I'm writing this.

Notes:

This work contains spoilers for Superman!

I own nothing, this is a tribute to this wonderful movie and I absolutely think this Lex would vent on Reddit about Superman.

Please excuse the horrid HTML formatting

My (M35) rival (M?) just destroyed my office

For context: I'm a well respected successful business man with quite a few people working for me. It's highly important that I keep control over said employees as we run a tight operation and a single mishap could be catastrophic for us as well as the company. I've also just come back from a business trip and dealing with this destruction is the last thing I need.

So this morning I was leading a very important meeting (time-sensitive too) when a... rival of mine, let's call him S for the sake of this post, crashed said meeting. Literally. There are employees sweeping up glass splinters as I'm writing this.

I've been having problems with S for a long time now. He's condescending and has a superiority complex and skills that make me jealous, which I'm not ashamed to admit. Whilst I have to work, he is "better" simply by being born and whenever I point it out, I'm the AH. It's been going on for long enough, that said crashed meeting was called specifically to discuss how to move forward with handling S. We'd been talking several attempts so far, as well as possible future strategies to avoid conflict with him and people like him, as well as building a new base for our company.

With almost no provocation S crashed the middle of the meeting by breaking the glass entrance, scaring several employees (not me, I refuse to be scared of him) and then flipping my table when I didn't immediately give into his demands. He hadn't even said anything so far! I was lucky I managed to barely save my coffee.

He then went on about how I'd put away a thing (unnamed for privacy reasons, but I assume he had an emotional connection to it) that had actively harmed me and how he was upset that I refused to give it back. It is dangerous! I don't run around handing unstable people unloaded guns, so I refused to give him this thing either. He was all in my face shouting and threatening me. I swear, I had to wipe off spit of my face at the end of it.

I just want him to be gone. Never see him or anyone like him ever again. He's an active threat, not only for my company, but also for my sanity. And whilst I'm working on a final solution, and am close to finishing that years-long project, I'm still furious that he thought it would be acceptable to threaten me in my own office. And now I have to get myself a new window, which is an unreasonable expense, considering S shouldn't have been there in the first place.

EDIT: Update: Luckily my girlfriend was there to film everything, so I've made the video of S's transgressions public. He's been facing quite a bit of backlash which has been great to see. Consequences should exist for people like him as well...

Why does it feel like OP is leaving out important details? Like... how on Earth did S crash a window?

OP • u/throwawayy_5395 • 12 h

He jumped through it. I need to invest in better glass

u/frustratedcucumber • 12 h

How on Earth does a person jump through glass? This just raises more questions. Do you people have sugar glass as windows?

Right?? Like, either this is the weirdest coincidence ever or we've found Lex Luthor's throwaway account lmao

I mean, which would be more insane???

u/thebuttsmatch_228 • 1 h

just had a look at his profile and there's so much Superman hate. like, this guy is a professional Superman hater and has been since before the parent leak. so chances aren't that bad it's actually Luthor xD

I'm pretty sure S had a very good reason for crashing your meeting, OP. It certainly sounds like you took something of his that might have been important to him and given your past animosity I'm not too surprised at S's reaction to finding you with it.

I swear I've seen like a dozen posts about S on this subreddit before... OP, please either get a different hobby or kiss him already T.T

Hey OP, why "almost no provocation"? This sounds like S might have had a reasonable explanation.

Ohhhh actually good point! What's up with that, OP? Sounds like you had something of his

Okay, but am I the only one seeing the similarities between this post here, this post of a guy complaining that his dog got stolen during a robbery and the video of Superman crashing Luthor's office???

omg, you're onto something, this can't be a coincidence!

Yeah, and Bruce Wayne is Batman. Time to take off the tinfoil hat...

Notes:

Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it's Superman reading Lex Luthor's reddit posts! (maybe, possibly)

the sort-of sequel, if you want more
