   This is a fan-sequel to The Great Mouse Detective, aiming to explore not only a romantic and emotional conflict, but also the contrasting views of two characters as they confront the morality of their actions.

   The story begins just moments after the end of the film, with the supposed triumphant return of the Napoleon of Crime—only for his comeback to be interrupted by a new threat: a cold-blooded killer determined to rid London of all evil, no matter the cost.

   Can Ratigan reclaim his status as a criminal mastermind?
   Can Basil stop this new menace before it’s too late?
