Shang Qinghua doesn’t know what possesses him to do so, but he jumps away from Mobei Jun like a cat from water, just barely swallowing the hiss that threatens to escape him. Mobei Jun, to his credit, doesn’t do more than raise a brow and prompt, “Qinghua?”
Shang Qinghua isn’t often in the habit of avoiding his king’s company, let alone his touch.
