Chapter Text
Baby loved food. Sweet food, to be specific. However, despite his love for sugary treats, he rarely let himself indulge. Especially now that he was an idol. He had an image to uphold and couldn't risk putting on a few pounds. That was unacceptable, Gwi-ma had said, over and over until it was ingrained in Baby's mind. The demon overlord had long since perished, about a year ago, to be exact. During what was supposed to be their final performance that would destroy the Honmoon for good, Huntrix reunited after their little fallout, and together they destroyed everything that the Saja Boys had built up. It all worked out in the end, though, surprisingly.
During their final battle, the Saja Boys unexpectedly switched sides. Thanks to Jinu. It was he who proposed the idea. Join the Huntrix girls, temporarily, of course, and defeat Gwi-ma together. They had all been against it at first. But when they realized their original plan wasn't going to work out as expected, they went with Jinu's plan instead at the last minute.
All of their voices combined managed to shatter the Honmoon and create an entirely new one. And it was beautiful. Baby had never seen anything like it, and neither had the other Saja Boys. Iridescent lines decorated the night sky as the Honmoon was finally sealed for good. To say it looked magical was an understatement.
The boys were temporarily mesmerized by the shimmering colors up above before they snapped back to reality and immediately braced themselves for the inevitable pain they were about to feel right before they would be sent back to the underworld. Except that pain never came.
Abby wearily opened his eyes and glanced at the other guys who were still right beside him. Sure, they looked like they'd been run over by a bus, and their skin was littered with bruises, but they were still here. Alive.
“Guys…guys we're still here-!” Exclaimed Abby, which gave the other guys enough confidence to finally crack open their eyes. Jinu let out a breath he didn't realize he was holding. Romance dramatically crumpled to the floor with a loud exclamation of joy as he realized they wouldn't have to spend eternity in hell with Gwi-ma. Mystery stayed silent, observing his mates and his surroundings like he always did.
Baby's eyes immediately darted around the stadium, looking for the hunters. When he couldn't spot them anywhere, the leftover tension in his body disappeared. They were safe, for now at least. Baby, despite being the youngest of the bunch, knew better than to get his hopes up. The hunters could come back for them at any moment and send them right back to where they came from.
“We need to get back to the apartment before anyone sees us.”
Jinu’s voice ripped everyone out of their thoughts, and all of their attention was immediately on him, listening to his every word. “Why are you still standing there? Get a move on- go!” Jinu barked orders left and right as the pack made its way towards the exit- or what was left of it. The stadium had taken a pretty bad hit during their final battle. As had the Saja Boys.
Despite the lingering aches and pains that viciously radiated through their bodies, their legs continued to move as they navigated the back alleys of Seoul with precision and speed. Jinu led the group with Abby not far behind him. Mystery and Romance were both flanking Baby on each side as a way to guard the youngest of the pack and keep him out of harm's way should a hunter try to attack them.
Just a few more meters until they were home.
Safe…
Baby remembers the day as if it happened last week. It was the beginning of their new life. For better or for worse.
