Summary
Regulus tried to stifle a laugh, but all to no avail. Which, after a moment, feels wrong, yet right at the same time incredibly right. He doesn’t normally laugh. “Well, James, it's nice to meet you.”
“Are you going to tell me your name, or can I call you, pretty boy?” James winked at him, still sporting his grin.
“Cocky, aren't you…” Regulus murmurs, leaning towards James. The flustered blush he got in return was well worth the risk of embarrassment. Watching James try to recollect himself and return to his cocky persona is, personally, one of Regulus’s best moments.
"Well, then, pretty boy - you seem to like true crime, don’t you?” James replies, the tips of his ears still red.
Regulus glances at the book in his hand, and then back at James. This man is not the brightest, it seems. “No, I've just been standing here, alone, with a book in my hand, praying that a stranger comes up and flirts with me,” he answers dryly.
