Summary:

Lukey is visiting Pangi's house for the week and gets an insane craving for some cookies he's hadn't had in so long.

Notes:

Thank you to @digoload on Tumblr for having some incredible and inspiring artwork that happen to coincide with my ideas as I was writing it. Really, helped push me to finish this!

Chapter 1: Step 1: Cravings

Summary:

The first step in any recipe is to have a craving for it!

It usually starts with a whiff of a scent or some sort of visual stimulation and it accumulates from there into full on desire.

Chapter Text

Pangi jogged back to his house with steady breaths, sweat lined the crown of his forehead and soaked into the fabric of his running shirt. As he got closer to the door, he could already hear the muffled notes of music being played inside. By the time his hand had already twisted the door knob- it was unlocked- he knew the other man had already woken up.

When he opened the door, Pangi was greeted with the violins and trumpets of Frankie Valli’s “Can’t Take My Eyes off You” and the swaying form of his guest. Lukey turned towards him, a grin on his face and a fist close to his mouth mimicking a mic, as he sang the lyrics to the song.

“At long last love has arrived, thank God I’m alive-“

His voice overlapped with the one that came from the speakers as he held a hand out towards Pangi.

With a smile, Pangi took his hand and found himself being twirled clumsily in the narrow space that was the entranceway. They both let out a laugh and mouthed the next lyrics of the song.

“You’re just too good to be true, can’t take my eyes off of you~”

Their duet then turned into a variety of dances ranging from the shoulder shimmy to the sprinkler up until the song ended. To which they found themselves standing close together that Pangi could clearly see every detail of the coffee-brown eyes in front of him. Smiles lingered on both of their faces until Lukey made a pointed effort to push Pangi away with a finger.

“You’re sweaty mister AND you didn’t wake me up. I thought you’d ditched me.” The British man made no effort to hide his efforts to give Pangi a once over, eyes lingering over his chest and a bit further down… over his shorts perhaps?

Until they made eye contact again, this time Lukey leaning back onto the wall as he exaggerated his voice to sound desperate and covered his face with an arm. “I was stuck here, all alone, like a wife waiting for her husband to come from war.”

Pangi only raised an eyebrow, the corners of his mouth uplifted. “A wife? Interesting…”

“Tsk.” Lukey put down his arm and lightly punched him on his shoulder. He could feel the sweat rubbing off onto the other’s fist and apparently so could Lukey looking from the almost immediate face of disgust on his face.

Lukey quickly wiped his hand into his shirt and shrugged his shoulders. “Sorry I just wanted to accompany you, but fine, I can pack up and leave tonight.”

“Well, I thought you said you couldn't run or else your asthma would flare up? I didn't want to take any chances… and I figured you'd wanted to sleep in ya know?” Pangi rolled his eyes and walked into the kitchen, Lukey in tow, as he grabbed himself a glass of water. He originally wanted to change and shower right away but ever since he'd entered the house he could feel the fiery gaze from the other man constantly on him. It wasn’t one of scrutiny, but warmer. Desire? Pangi wasn’t sure or rather, he didn’t want to dwell on it.

Why not enjoy the attention for the moment?

He brought the clear glass to his lips and drank the glass of water, watching from the corner of his eyes how Lukey stared at him from the doorway like a hawk. With every gulp, his mouth opened slightly as if to say something. When Pangi deliberately let some of the water spill from the sides of the glass to dribble down his chin and throat… he saw the other man twitch his hands forward before they settled back down to his sides into a fist.

He smiled inwardly.

Pangi was aware of their… relationship, if you could call it that. They danced around it- not really stepping forward to label it or taking action to elevate it into something more. The two settled themselves into this weird “bit” that wasn't a bit. But on occasion… moments like this, when they were alone, they could feel it. When the heat became too hot and thoughts become to splintered to hold any coherency, a tightrope of navigating a maze of feelings. Where a mere thought would push them both over the edge.

CLACK!

He set the glass down on the sink. An audible gulp could be heard from the doorway, but he chose to ignore it despite the urge to take a peek.

“So what's the agenda for today?” Pangi lifted the hem of the shirt to his face— exposing his stomach to the almost subtle gasp to the side- and wiped off the sweat that threatened to fall. He kept a straight face as he looked back at Lukey who was staring blankly in his direction. “I wanna shower and then change into something comfortable, but if you want to go out tell me so I could wear something cooler. Might be hot today, it was warm this morning.”

Lukey kept his gaze on Pangi as he settled into thought. “Maybe we do a lil cooking stream? I'm craving cookies and we did promise chat we'd do one at some point.”

Pangi nodded and turned around to look through the cupboards. “Do we have everything or do we need to go get groceries?”

“Oh- I don't know. I kinda just said it…”

“Oooof course~ Typical hamster-like thinking.”

“What the fuck! Okay, sorry I had an answer for your question.” Lukey retorted.

A further investigation of the ingredients situation within the cupboards and fridge proved that a lot of were missing.

“Okay, well let me change and we can go to the store. Hopefully, they have everything you ne-” Before Pangi could finish his sentence, cool hands rested on his shoulders before he was pushed out of the kitchen. He took note of how they subtly squeezed his shoulders and shuffled lower.

“You need to get changed and I can setup the streaming stuff down here while you shower.” Lukey's voice was quieter this time, almost against his ear. “So hurry up! The cookies won't bake themselves Pangi.”

The British man pushed him into his room and immediately bee-lined towards his computer setup, hands ready to massacre the wires and cables before he paused. Lukey turned towards him as he picked out clothes, a smirk on his face. “Oh and don't take too long in the shower. Yesterday…”

“Shut up!” Pangi held out a hand, his face beet red. He didn't want to go into the details, but it truly wasn't something he wanted to remember. Living alone for a while had dulled his senses to smaller details like locking the door. And he was in the shower ministering to himself when Lukey came in… its not like they hadn't seen each other naked before just- this time it took him a minute or two to realize it wasn't just a fantasy and that it was real.

Lukey laughed and held his hands up in surrender, “It's okay dude, I won't tell anybody. But just keep it short and sweet, so we can have breakfast and stuff while we're out.”

A handful of devices and cables were already in his arms as he started walking to the exit, where he paused. “I didn't say it yesterday… but you looked good.”

Lukey's back immediately disappeared from the doorway.

Pangi stood there, mouth agape in mortification, as the realization dawned on him that the other man had taken a good look at him before he left the bathroom yesterday.

Lukey’s voice came from downstairs, “Yo you good up there?”

“I- uh…” Pangi's mind was blank.

“Need help with getting out of your clothes or something?” Lukey entered the room again and asked him with a teasing tone.

Pangi chuckled at the thought, his face warm. “No! Just… thinking. But yeah, I'll go shower and uhh, you set up the stream for later. And think about what you want for breakfast or something.”

He settled on a batch of clothing and shuffled out of the room, his head kept down in an attempt to hide his thoughts. But he swears he saw Lukey's smile as he passed by… he must be crazy. Yet, his heart raced a little more.
