Chapter Text
“You fuck with Bobby, you've fucked with us!” yelled Mira as she smashed the glass doors of the office building open. Rumi and Zoey sprinted in after her - twin expressions of rage painted on their faces.
Rumi, Zoey and Mira had started singing before they burst into the office building crawling with demons. They were in their element - the Honmoon’s lines were blue, bright and strong as they harmonised. Rumi was slashing demons to shreds left, right and centre with her saingeom. Zoey was spitting sick beats as she threw her Shinkal. Mira moved gracefully as she destroyed demon after demon with her Gok-do. They were cornering the very last one, bigger than the others, towering over the girls, big, sharp, pointy teeth, purple skin, one big eye, clearly the leader. There were thick black cuffs on its arms, and another around its throat. It was using Bobby as a human shield. It at least had the sense to look terrified.
“Th-This isn't a costume, is it? This isn't a prank show? Th-these are actual demons?” asked Bobby, face white as a ghost. “A-And you're all d-demon hunters?”
“We’ll answer all your questions later, Bobby,” said Zoey, soothingly.
“Yeah, right after we’ve saved you,” promised Rumi.
“Let him go and we might not kill you slowly,” spat Mira, the expression of rage on her face indescribable.
“Wait, wait, wait!” it said, holding hands up in surrender, releasing Bobby into the arms of the Huntrix, Zoey and Rumi fussed over him.
“Can I kill it?” asked Mira, blood lust in her eyes.
“Go ahead,” said Rumi.
“Jinu’s alive!” yelled the demon. Weapon clashed against weapon, Rumi’s sword clanged against Mira’s. The demon had closed his eye, cowering, arms above its head, it slowly opened it to look at the girls.
“What did you just say?” whispered Rumi, an expression of tentative hope painted her face.
“Jinu, he's still in the demon realm,” said the demon.
Suddenly, Rumi's sword was against the demon’s throat.
“If you're lying to me-” said Rumi.
“I swear, I'm not lying!” said the demon, voice shaking.
“That information’s useless unless you can get us there or get him here,” said Mira, voice cold.
“...You guys would come with me?” asked Rumi.
“I'm offended you're even asking that question,” said Mira, crossing her arms.
“I would follow you guys to the ends of the earth!” added Zoey, smiling.
“I have no idea what you're talking about, but I'm in too!” said Bobby, determinedly.
“I can get you there,” said the demon, slowly. “You're part demon, but beyond killing them or corrupting them-”
“Think of a way,” said Rumi, pressing the blade harder against its throat. “I'm not going anywhere without my girls, and Bobby.”
The demon sighed. “I'll need these back - they’re on loan ,” said the demon.
Mira laughed, “You're trying to negotiate with us?” she asked, adding another sword to its neck.
“Okay! You can keep them!” he said, and took off his cuffs and collar. “These have magical properties. They will protect the humans.”
Zoey and Mira clipped the cuffs on around their upper arms, and Bobby put his around his own neck.
“Not exactly a fashion statement,” grumbled Zoey.
“Speak for yourself,” said Mira, admiring hers.
“This brings me back,” said Bobby and the girls looked at him with varying levels of concern.
“... You're all going to have to hold onto me,” said the demon. Mira rolled her eyes, Zoey attached her hand to one of his arms, uncertainly, Rumi Mira and Bobby, followed her lead. The five of them disappeared into a purple smoke.
The four of them arrived, red sky above, barren landscape below… straight into an ambush. As the demon that brought them there started laughing, Mira slayed him in frustration and the three girls fought for their lives, while Bobby screamed in terror. Just when the three of them were starting to tire, about to become overpowered, Rumi spotted a six eyed bird with a tiny hat flying overhead. Suddenly the blue tiger was in front of Rumi, growling at the demons furiously.

“Yo, Jinu?” yelled Mystery.
“I said to leave me alone!” spat the demon in question.
“Even if your girlfriend is busy getting her ass kicked?” asked Mystery, examining his nails.
Jinu flew out of his room, shoved Mystery away from the window, evaluated the situation out of the window, and immediately sent his familiars into battle.
“You guys have to help me!” said Jinu frantically.
“And we should do so why?” asked Baby from where he was busy reading a scroll.
Jinu glared at him, “Fine. You help me, and I'll consider your demands,” Baby looked up and grinned at him, sinisterly. The Saja boys literally flew into battle.
“Don’t worry, the cavalry have arrived,” said Jinu, suavely, landing next to Rumi, tipping his black gat.
“I don't see any horses!” yelled Zoey.
“What? It's an expression- never mind. We’re here to save you guys,” said Jinu as the Saja boys started clawing at their fellow demons.
“Less talking, more stabbing!” yelled Mira.
“There's too many of them!” said Abby.
“Tell me something I don't know!” growled Jinu, kicking a demon in the face.
“We need to retreat!” said Mystery.
“I'll take Rumi, Mystery you take the small black haired one. Romance you take the scary pinked haired one, Abby, take the guy,” said Jinu.
Jinu, without giving her time to protest, grabbed Rumi, put her onto the blue tiger and sat behind her. With Jinu's arms around her, Rumi tried to tell herself she was still mad at him.
Mystery, non too gently grabbed Zoey. And Romance grabbed Mira with the care and fear that one might hold radioactive waste, holding her at arms length. Abby threw Bobby over his shoulder like he was a sack of potatoes. Bobby still hadn't stopped screaming. Mira thrashed around in Romance’s grasp, while Zoey had heart eyes, as the Saja Boys sprinted away, and then flew away from the throngs of demons.

The group sprinted into what looked like a traditional Korean home, or Hanok, it was almost entirely black and white, with black tiles on the roof and white sliding doors that Baby slammed shut behind them.
“Is this place secure?” ventured Zoey, after Mystery put her down.
“Do you really think we'd have brought you here if it wasn't, Princess?” asked Mystery.
“He called me Princess!” whisper yelled Zoey to Mira, heart eyes returning.
Mystery's cheeks heated up, “It was meant to be derivative,” he muttered.
At that moment, a loud smacking resounded around the space. As Jinu held his face, now marked by a red hand print, Rumi yelled, “I thought you were dead!”
“Ohhhh Kay! That's our cue to leave,” said Romance and the other Saja boys ushered Zoey, Mira and Bobby into a separate room.
“Well, where was I going to go? Detroit?” grumbled Jinu.
“What?” questioned Rumi.
“Never mind,” muttered Jinu.
“It wouldn't have been hard to let me know! Hell, you could have sent a letter via your tiger!” Derpy and Sussie joined Rumi in glaring at Jinu.
“Geez, don't all gang up on me like that… I thought it was better this way,” muttered Jinu.
“What?” questioned Rumi, quieter this time. “Do you have any idea the heart break I went through?!” Derpy nuzzled his head against Rumi's hand, and she stroked him.
“I'm not a good guy, Rumi, you're better off without me,” said Jinu, turning away from her. Rumi grabbed Jinu's arm and forced him to turn around and look at her.
“You sacrificed yourself for me,” said Rum, quietly.
“Yeah, right after I betrayed you and tried to steal all your fans souls,” muttered Jinu.
“You're not a bad guy. I know you're not,” said Rumi, tears in her eyes. “You may have done bad things, but-”
“Rumi, please don't… I'm not good for you,” anguished Jinu.
“Why don't you stop treating me like a child and let me decide whether or not you're good for me?”
“You are a child to me. I'm over 400 years old,” muttered Jinu.
“I don't care about any of that!” said Rumi. "I just care about you," she said, smiling up at him.
"I never could resist your smile," admitted Jinu. "Okay, we'll do things your way," he caved. Rumi was so happy that she squealed and gave Jinu a hug.

“So, I'm your exact type?” teased Mystery, running a hand through his hair.
Zoey crossed her arms. “You forget I said that just before shredding you.”
Mystery shrugged, “I can deal with that, adds a little passion to things, don't you think?” he smirked. Zoey glared at him.
“Do I get a thank you kiss?” Romance asked Mira. Mira gave him scowl that had him hiding behind Abby.
“Don't use me as a shield!” said Abby, and they started slap fighting.
“Can somebody please tell me what the hell is going on?!” yelled Bobby. Abby and Romance stopped fighting and turned their attention towards him as did the others.
“Of course, what's your first question?” asked Zoey, calmly.
“First question?! Is no one else freaking out right now?! First off, I was kidnapped by a demon, then we were just in a fight with more demons, in hell. The Saja boys - who are also demons, I think? - literally flew us here - I feel like I'm going crazy is this just a typical Tuesday for you guys?”
The Saja boys and Huntrix looked around each other, perplexed, and nodded, “Yeah, pretty much?” answered Mira.
Bobby covered his eyes with his hands. “I am not getting paid enough to deal with this,” groaned Bobby.
“Oh, we’ll give you a raise,” said Mira.
“Yeah, 100 hundred percent and a bonus. Really sorry we got you mixed up in this, Bobby,” said Zoey.
“Okay… Okay… this is something I can handle, something I can get used to-” at that moment Baby and Mystery snarled at him, showing their fangs and Bobby screamed again, and the boys started laughing. “I can't handle this! It's too much! It's freaking me out!”
“Bad Saja Boys!” said Zoey shooing them away from Bobby.
“You know, I'm starting to think you're name might not actually be Mystery,” said Zoey.
“...That's only just occurring to you now?”
“So, you going to tell me your real name?” asked Zoey, ignoring him.
“Well that would destroy the mystery, wouldn't it?” he said, getting into Zoey's personal space.
Zoey giggled, “Yeah, I suppose it would. Baby, aren't you going to join the conversation?” asked Zoey, kindly, wondering if he felt left out.
“I don't talk to food,” he said, icily.
“Don't let him get to you,” said Romance. “The reason he's ignoring you is that he doesn't bat for that team,” said Romance, winking at Baby, Baby glared at him.
“That's so hot,” said Mira offhandedly, eyes turning into hearts.
“Excuse me?” said Baby, expression darkening.
“What? Men with men? It does something for me,” admitted Mira.
“Mira! You can't just admit that!” whisper hissed Zoey.
“It's hot!” defended Mira.
“No, no, she's got a point,” said Abby.
“What?!” said Baby.
“Girls on girls? That's sexy as hell.”
“Woah, woah, woah, it's not okay to say that,” said Mira.
“But what you said is?” Abby responded, crossing his arms.
“It's sexist!”
“And you're not homophobic?” responded Baby.
“Guys, guys, guys you're missing the bigger picture,” said Mystery. The group turned their attention to him.
“Mira kiss Zoey, Romance kiss Baby, boom, boom, boom, everything body wins,” Romance looked horrified, Zoey looked like she was having some kind of existential crisis. Mira and Baby nodded at each other, forming some kind of pact. Mira grabbed Zoey’s face as Baby pulled Romance down for a smooch.
Mira was pressing her lips softly against Zoey's, whose face was bright red. Meanwhile, Baby had climbed Romance like a tree and the pair were full on frenching. Romance didn't look like he wasn't enjoying it.
“Get it, Baby!” yelled Mystery. Abby wooed both couples on.
Rumi and Jinu entered the room, with Derpy following behind with Sussie on his back. Jinu looked like he'd just been told the moon was made of moulding cheese.
“So this is what you two do when I'm not here?” chucked Rumi. Zoey broke away from Mira, still bright red, Mira looked very pleased with herself, and high-fived Baby who was still going at it with Romance.
“I'm not having a bi crisis, you are!” said Zoey. Everyone turned to stare at her. Zoey hid behind her hands. “Why won't the ground swallow me?”
