Hello my lucky charms! I apologize if I don't write the characters acting canonically! I am unfortunately having mental and health problems so fanfics will be slow! I might make this have more than one chapter!

Work Text:

Golden Cheese Cookie felt her presence before she even saw her. She stood at the door like a haunting memory. She was no longer as familiar as before.. Golden Cheese Cookie would not let herself lose everything once again. No matter how changed Pure Vanilla Cookie claimed White Lily Cookie was. No matter how much she longed for those poisonous lips.

So Golden Cheese Cookie ignored her. Pretending to be focused on making a small pile of the feathers taken from her wings. It had taken effort and help from many cookies to get her glorious wings back. They felt fake, another thing she had to pretend that she didn't lose.

Her sharp eyes looked out the window to observe the construction. Her kingdom was being reborn, another piece being restored and perfected. The Cheesy kingdom will be strong, it will never fall again. Though to make that work, she had to talk with.. White Lily Cookie. She didn't want to talk to the traitor.

But a glance at the papers in the other's hands made her convince herself that she needed to. Her wings stretched out until a satisfying pop was heard. Golden Cheese Cookie could finish preening her wings later. Her hand gestured for White Lily Cookie to come closer, it was done with coldness not the old warmness.

White Lily Cookie didn't deserve such a thing. Quietly, her company approached her like a passing breeze. Forever as silent as a single rain drop. The blue prints neatly handed to Golden Cheese Cookie. She laid them out in front of her on the sheets though a couple left in her lap.

When White Lily Cookie didn't immediately leave, she turned her head towards the cookie in a show of attention. She didn't deserve an ounce of Golden Cheese Cookie's attention. "What is it? Tell me before my feathers start to molt.” Her voice was firm and annoyed. She ignored the pang in her heart when White Lily Cookie took a step back.

She wanted White Lily to leave.

She wanted to be left alone by this vixen of dawns.

By this walking patch of deadly night shade made to tempt.

Golden Cheese Cookie wanted to stop loving this memory that didn't exist.

They were both young during the time. White Lily Cookie supposedly was having something with Pure Vanilla Cookie, the sweet heart he was. It was only a hang out, a girl's night. Holly Berry Cookie wasn't able to join them. White Lily Cookie had been studying, something Golden Cheese Cookie doubted she needed to do.

White Lily Cookie was basically the top of every class, how could she get smarter? Golden Cheese Cookie was fed up as she stood up from where she was drawing. With her wings spread out, a hand on her hip and a finger pointed at her friend accusingly. And loudly she spoke: "You don't have to be here if you don't want to. You clearly don't want to hangout with ME."

Golden Cheese Cookie had only got a confused look from White Lily Cookie who looked up from her book. Those big red eyes on her made Golden Cheese Cookie feel like her face was burning. She really hoped she didn't have anything on her face.. "What do you mean, Cheese?" The soft voice still rang in her ears.

Golden Cheese Cookie didn't remember how it happened. She remembered hesitant hands and gentle pressure on her lips. In the morning, she woke up to White Lily Cookie on her. She was all curled up and was hugging Golden Cheese Cookie while small wings attempted to curl around them for comfort. Golden Cheese Cookie never questioned how it happened but she wondered why.

White Lily Cookie had Pure Vanilla Cookie, he was better for her. Golden Cheese Cookie had left that morning feeling guilty. She always made sure Holly Berry Cookie would be at their hangouts after it happened. Golden Cheese Cookie had left a single feather in her friend's hair that night. It didn't make what happened feel right despite the fact that they didn't go far.

It had burned in a way only passion does.

“Your Radiance? May I help you with your wing?.”

She snapped out of her thoughts, finally remembering where she was. Golden Cheese Cookie quickly cleared her throat. How many times did White Lily Cookie ask her before she finally snapped out of it? It didn't matter. She couldn't believe the nerve.

Say no.

It would be the best to say no and send her on her way.

What if she suddenly decides to destroy the kingdom?

“Fine.” Golden Cheese Cookie stacked the blue prints back up, putting them to the side. She made room for White Lily Cookie despite there being enough space for two more cookies already. Her wings spread out expecting. She felt the bed dip behind her. Golden Cheese Cookie kept a wary eye on the other

“Thank you.” Poison, she reminded herself. White Lily Cookie was just a sweet tasting poison. Her friend wasn't supposed to have horns. But now she did. She was still beautiful, a sight to drink in.

“You better be gentle.”

“I will.”

White Lily Cookie observed what she needed to work on. Her hand lightly brushed over the feathers. There were only a couple ones left that needed to be taken care of. She got to work quickly knowing that at any moment this chance could be taken away.

“I see that construction is going well. The technology of your kingdom is beyond amazing.” White Lily Cookie complimented gazing out of the same window that Golden Cheese Cookie has been staring out of. She kept her legs folded off to the side to not bother the queen. White Lily Cookie wasn't going to mess this up.

“Of course it is going well. Do you doubt me?”

“I would never doubt you, Golden Cheese Cookie.”

Her words were soft in Golden Cheese's ear. It frustrated Golden Cheese in a way. She shouldn't be allowing this. Her kingdom was gone because of the hands that now so tenderly take care her marvelous wings. Her wings puffing up a bit at the thought. The reaction was ignored by the guardian.

“Your Radiance?”

“What is it, Guardian?”

“May I ask you something?”

“You m-” Golden Cheese Cookie's voice was cut off by one of her treasures coming in.

It was a young cookie, her dark hair braided and bangs covering her orange eyes. The hair color did suit her dough, a color similar to Golden Cheese Cookie's own dough. The servant held papers in her arms and was trying to act confident. She froze when she saw the two of them together though.

The servant, Brunost Cheese Cookie, cleared her throat nervously. Her headband, caramel color was quickly fixed by Brunost Cheese Cookie as she bowed. “Your Radiance, you are needed.” Golden Cheese Cookie nodded her head. She almost stood up immediately until she remembered that she wasn't alone.

Her shiny eyes met with those of wine. The last feather was taken care of by White Lily Cookie. No words spoken for she knew that White Lily understood already. The guardian stood up folding her hands in front of her. Tucked off to the side, if only it was that easy to do so in Golden Cheese Cookie's mind as well. Golden Cheese Cookie took a deep breath walking towards Brunost Cheese Cookie.

Her treasure walked off expecting Golden Cheese Cookie to follow her to the issue. But the winged cookie paused at the doorway looking back at White Lily Cookie. Horns were leftover from her friend's time of corruption. One of them was broken, it could not be fixed.

But past those horns, she saw the messy white hair in a braid and the signature lily sticking out in the front. There was a difference to the other, she seemed less.. shy? This was not White Lily Cookie but this also wasn't Dark Enchantress Cookie. The cookie in front of her had been broken down, this was the ruins.

Golden Cheese Cookie could fix her kingdom from just ruins and pieces.

Maybe she could fix the holes in both of their hearts.

It would take time, she needed to heal first. She needed to take care of her treasures first.

“I will see you again, White Lily Cookie.”

Golden Cheese Cookie walked away to find her treasures. She was doing the impossible. They both were going to do the impossible.

White Lily Cookie was poisonous but Golden Cheese Cookie could find a cure. For if something is beautiful, do not throw it out for being broken.

White Lily Cookie stood there watching the queen go. It's been so long and still.. Golden Cheese Cookie was glorious. She was the sun still burning. The light that shined even when White Lily Cookie closed her eyes at night. She was the bird that pecked her way into White Lily Cookie's heart. It hurts knowing that she would never be chosen.

White Lily Cookie was less than half of a cookie. She sighed sitting on the bed again. The mirror in the room reflected herself. Tired eyes, horns, and hair not properly taken care of. White Lily Cookie was the quiet dawn. Her hand drifted to the feathers, she grabbed one gently.

After a bit of thought, she put it in her hair. It brought color to her appearance. But it brought a pain in her crumbling heart. White Lily Cookie loved a sun she could not reach. She was Icarus and her wings were melting again. The guardian sighed as she finally got the confidence to stand up.

White Lily Cookie would return with more resources and blueprints. She would do it until the Cheesy kingdom was whole again. She would do it so she can see Golden Cheese Cookie. To be able to linger in her light a bit longer after the cold darkness. But would that even last for long?
