"We need props!" Rumi exclaims, giddily wearing her wedding veil as she took the spot next to him, both backs pressed against the kitchen counter of Huntrix tower. It looked as if the two of them are hiding from the entire world.
"Remind me again why we're doing this?" Jinu laughs from under his breath, a little confused when she hands him a bowtie to wear. Still, he goes along with it as he's used to her theatrics by now.
"It's a phase Jinu, we need to act like we're having second thoughts about marrying each other and act out the night before our wedding. You know like what normal couples do"
"Oh but I'm not having second thoughts on marrying you at all" he tells her confidently, still observing her reaction if she somehow doesn't share the same sentiment.
"Me neither" she laughs, feeding herself another spoonful of pink icing that was left from making their wedding cake before passing the bowl to Jinu. He does the same thing and they both agreed that strawberry is the best flavor there is.
"Actually there's one thing I'm worried about" Jinu shares, his mood suddenly shifting "Last night I dreamt that you left me at the altar"
Rumi's gaze softened when she sees him looking so crushed just thinking about his recent nightmare. He must've hated the idea of her leaving him so much.
"Why would dream Rumi do that?" She poutily offers him her words of comfort that didn't make sense nevertheless she knew would reach him just right.
"I don't know but dream Rumi was kinda mean for doing that" he responds mimicking her voice, playing along with her silly antics.
"Well I'm wearing my wedding veil. That must mean I'm excited to marry you right? Although I am a little nervous since it's my first time getting married" she smiles to herself anxiously
"Me too"
"But I'm sure you've met many girls during your those 400 years"
"Sure did" he kept his replies simple with a smug grin on his face- as if he's trying to egg her on. It seemed like it was working because she's currently frowning at his direction.
"And how many times did you fall in love exactly in the span of 400 years?"
"Lots of times"
Jinu felt her rolling her eyes at his answer and decided to stop his teasing before she actually reconsiders marrying him.
He chuckles, leaning in to wipe leftover frosting that decorated the side of her face "Fell in love lots of times for the same woman of course"
Rumi flicnhes before blushing a deep shade of red, muttering a small 'shut up' under her breath.
Damn, he's so in love with this woman and tomorrow he'll finally be able to call her, his wife
Their little charade was cut short when Zoey walks in on them, gasping dramatically as she ushers Rumi away out of the room "You two can't see each other before the wedding, it's bad luck!"
Rumi worriedly looks back at his direction while she's being dragged away from him.
Jinu gives her a reassuring smile and a wave goodbye "I'll see you at the altar"
She smiles back "I'll be the one wearing white"
