"Ah it's that thing again"
Zoey looks at Jinu with a quizzical expression, tilting her head in surprise "You know what this is?" She asks holding out a brand new polaroid camera for him to use.
She knew very well that he's still learning when it came to new technology. Both her and Mira figured out it was high time that Jinu got himself a hobby other than just following his girlfriend around all day like a lovesick puppy.
"Yes" he nodded recalling how Rumi used it once on Derpy before "You point it at someone, paper comes out, you shake the paper and the paper makes you happy"
Mira snorts at his very 'behind the time' explanation "Yep sounds about right"
The two girls made a very simple demonstration on the how to use the polaroid while Jinu just sat there listening intently, nodding his head along with everything he'd just absorbed.
Mira told him to come back to them with results and input in a few days to see if there is a need for them to find him a new hobby after this one. And Zoey's words were the only things engraved in his head when he started his mission in finding a good angle for this new activity.
"Let's start with that then, just take pictures of anything that would make you happy"
Only one idea came to mind when they talked about happiness and Jinu marched happily to find his muse, camera at hand.
A week had passed and all Mira, Zoey and Jinu had gathered around the kitchen island of Huntrix tower. The pictures he took are scattered across the tiled kitchen table and the two girls couldn't help but give him judging stares.
"Jinu?" Zoey calls for him worriedly as he gave her a small hum in response "You do realize that every photo you took is of Rumi right?"
They gave him at least 50 films to work with and every single one had photos of their friend.
"You said take photos of anything that would make me happy" he defends himself, looking dreamily at one of the photos he took that he currently has on his hold "I feel happy just looking at her face all day long"
Zoey sighs helplessly- well at least his shots had variety- you can literally tell that he took one of Rumi in every angle and pose. She turns to Mira who had been quiet for a while now to see how she thinks about this entire thing.
"I've never seen Rumi this happy before" Mira says under her breath as Zoey leans in to check which picture she was talking about. The picture caught Rumi in the middle of laughing, clad in her casual grey hoodie, her purple hair cascading to her waist, her iridescent patterns matched her ear to ear grin as she blocked a fourth of the shot with her hand.
The picture lacked good lighting and it was somewhat blurry for obvious reasons but it didn't diminish the fact that it was such a beautiful take. It's as if they can just hear her laughter through the film, telling Jinu to stop this disaster of a photoshoot while still finding the entire thing endearing.
They slowly turned their heads at Jinu's direction, the man still looking enthralled at the photo of Rumi he had on his hands. Sensing them staring, he smiles and flips the picture he's holding at their direction.
"See this girl? I'm gonna marry her one day" he says without much thought, as if it was habit for him at this point.
"Okay Jinu, there's no need to brag" Zoey laughs.
Mira and Zoey realized that they had little to worry about when it came to their friend. They knew now that Rumi's at her happiest when she's with Jinu.
