"7 Adam 19 show us at the manor apartments code 6"
Lucy stood behind her TO, Tim Bradford as they approached the apartments. Her hands clung to her weapon like a life line as Tim motioned for her to turn a corner. The alley blocked most of the bright LA sun as she turned another corner and a sharp light cut her vision.
It happened so fast, one moment she was clearing the alley and the next she was being grabbed. A pair of strong arms pulled her against there chest as another knocked her gun out of her hand.
"No..Mmm!" She screamed as a fist connected with her nose.
She cried out as one after the other they came, first her face as her cheek bones cracked and her hair matted with blood. Her ribs cracked beneath there fists as her breath was stolen, a gluteal sob escaping her lips as she heard a "Chen!" That sounded far away. A man build like a refrigerator picked her up by her arms as her breathing grew more rapid and weak.
Her head cracked against the wall as pain exploded in her skull.
"Chen! Get away from her!"
Her vision fell toward the familiar sound, Tim's blurry form rushing to her as the men ran off and her knees buckled, unable to hold her weight as she was caught in Tim's arms.
"Chen, Oh god..can you hear me!"
"Sir..." She breathed, her weak hand feeling her soft abdomen as Tim radioed for help and her vision began to fade.
"Chen, stay with me!" Tim mumbled, his voice growing farther away as her eye lids shut.

"What the hell kind of bastard did this!"
She opened her eyes as she began to hear voices again, her once warm body freezing as doctors worked to stabilize her.
"Pupils are unequal page Chavez!"
"EFAST exam is positive I've got a pneumothorax and fluid around the liver!"
"GCS is 6 get me an intubation tray!
"We need a chest tube in here!"
"Chavez we need you over here!" A young nurse spoke, stepping away from the woman's head as he took over.
"This one's a fighter Chavez, she's conscious!"
"Ma'am can you hear me!? Can you tell us your name?" Chavez questioned, flicking his penlight in her eye as she gave no response.
"I'm Lucy..." her sluggish brain thought as her eyes fell closed.
