Work Text:
Logan was exhausted.
He'd been stressed out of his mind. Midterms, the Phantom Realm, his already-existing anxiety disorder... It was a lot, and it was really starting to weigh on him.
It was late one night when Ben heard the knock at his bedroom window. It was still a couple of hours before they'd all enter the Phantom Realm, so he was more confused than anything.
As he turned to look, though, he was met with the all-too-familiar face of Logan Fields.
He quickly opened the window to let the other boy in, and Logan almost immediately collapsed into his arms. Ben gingerly shut the window before guiding the both of them to his bed, allowing Logan to melt into him.
He didn't judge as Logan began to cry into his chest, anxiety and stress and exhaustion finally bringing him to his breaking point. Instead, Ben just carded his fingers through his boyfriend's hair with one hand and gently stroked his jaw with the other.
It didn't take long for the gentle contact to shut down Logan's nervous system, and he soon fell asleep, a good few hours before he'd have to deal with the Phantom Realm.
Ben smiled and kissed the sleeping boy on the top of the head, glad to see him resting finally.
He figured he'd ask Logan about it the following morning but, in the meantime, he was just glad he could be there for him.
