Ever since Kevin was a young boy, he'd dealt with a mild case of Tourette's Syndrome.
However, due to it being on the less severe end, he'd quickly forced himself to learn how to suppress his tics, only letting them out when he was alone in his room, so as to not pose a distraction to those around him.
Of course, this only led to him dealing with sleepless nights filled with full-blown tic attacks due to his unhealthy suppression, as well as a very deep sense of internalized ableism over his condition, but he figured those were just small sacrifices he had to make to seem normal.
He grew so used to hiding it that, when he ended up getting into a relationship with the other guys, he didn't even think to tell them.
Why should he? Really, it would just stress them out and cause unnecessary drama. It's not like it would ever come up anyways, since he was so good at hiding it...
Then, college exam season came around.
He had massively underestimated how stressed such a time would make him and, in turn, how much worse his tics would be due to it. Still, though, he was determined to keep it under wraps. What would his boyfriends say if they found out this embarrassing secret of his?
His body had other plans, though, and he was suddenly regretting never having told the others as the stress sent him into a full-blown tic attack while in bed with the others.
Thankfully, the group had not been sexually engaged at the time, but this was almost worse. If it had been during sex, he maybe could've written it off as convulsions from the pleasure, but the group was simply cuddling.
It was Felix who sat up first, followed by Adrian, then Vincent. They all looked down at their convulsing boyfriend in bewilderment.
Kevin began to cry, partially from pain and partially from embarrassment, as his body twitched in various directions and spasmed, pained noises emanated from his throat.
"What is happening?" Vincent asked, concerned and bewildered. Adrian was far more upset than he was.
"Is he having a seizure?" the nerd asked. Felix shook his head at the others. He'd seen seizures before, and this didn't look like one.
"Kevin, sweetheart, do you have Tourette's?" the goth asked calmly. Kevin managed a small thumbs-up in between the tics wracking his body. The other boys glanced at each other.
"Oh, baby, why didn't you tell us?" Vincent asked, concerned and sympathetic. Kevin opened his mouth to respond, but was unable to due to the severity of his tics.
"No more questions right now" Adrian told the others before turning his attention back to the struggling man. "It's okay, babe. We're here. We're not leaving"
It went on for a little while longer before the tics finally died down, leaving Kevin utterly exhausted and embarrassed.
"I'm sorry" he muttered tiredly, his voice scratchy from overuse. "I thought I could hide it..."
"You never have to hide anything from us, baby" Vincent said softly. The other guys hummed in agreement.
"We love you no matter what" Felix confirmed.
"Thanks, you guys" the jock said, voice thick with emotion. What ever did he do to deserve such softness?
"Let's get you some rest" Adrian smiled, kissing Kevin on the cheek and chuckling endearingly as he curled into the nearest chest to him, which just so happened to be Felix's. The goth echoed the laugh.
"I don't think he has any objections with that"
