Once upon a time, in a land far far away, there lived a Prince named Patrick. The Queen and King held a ball to help Patrick find a wife.
The thought of a wife made Patrick’s stomach turn. So the prince went to the good witch, Twyla to have his fortune read.
Twyla told Patrick to put a pea under each guests mattress and the one that would notice would be his bride.
At the ball, Patrick met Princess Alexis who was chaperoned by her brother David. Patrick had heard that the Rose siblings were escaping the evil warlord Eli who had ravaged the kingdom of Roses. So he invited the siblings (and their parents) to stay as long as they would like.
That night, Patrick could not sleep, so he wondered the gardens.
Out among the moonlight sky, he found Prince David admiring one of Patrick’s tree.
“Some kind of tree pervert, huh?” Patrick teased.
Prince David whipped around so fast that his cape almost knocked Patrick down.
“Excuse me? I was just…well at least I don’t have tree trunks as legs!” David looked Patrick over. Every time David looked at Patrick, Patrick felt odd. Warm, but odd.
“Couldn’t sleep?” Patrick asked.
“Something seems to be wrong with my mattress. I even tried adding another and I just can’t settle.”
Patrick stared at David and everything seemed to slot into place. David was the one he should marry.
