Bakugou crashes down on his bed. God it was a long day, all he wanted to do was sleep. Unfortunately, that would get him off his very strict sleep schedule, so he had to keep himself occupied. One thing came to mind, something that always keeps him busy. He pulls out his phone, trying to figure out who to text. He sighs and clicks on Izuku’s contact: nerd
His fingers move across the screen, sending a brief message. “ney nerd. wanna train tonight?”
He knows pushing his limits will always help him, and there's still so many hours left in the day, so why not..?
He’s surprised when he almost immediately gets a response back, “Sure Kacchan! Or are you just making an excuse to spend more time with me?” Along with one of those stupid emoticon things he doesn't understand. He feels his ears go red and he scoffs. Yeah sure, the nerd and he had gotten closer after the war, but wanting to spend time with him? Yeah right. He rolls his eyes as he types again. “as if. just don't be late”. And yet again, Izuku sends a way too overzealous message, “Okii!! I'm looking forward to it! <3”
His heart practically dropped, what is wrong with this guy? Izuku had always texted a little funky, in his opinion, but what's with the hearts and shit? Whatever, maybe he should ask kirishima.
He closes Izuku's contact and clicks on another, “shitty hair”.
“Oi shitty- i want your advice” he types out, trying to not let izuku’s weird texting habits drill themselves into his head. “Really? That's manly Bakubro, what’s up dude?” Kirishima responds a few minutes later. At the notification Katsuki opens the text again, “wtv, yk how the nerd and i got closer or smth after the war?” He pauses before sending another text “well i asked him to train with mr today, he said smth that set me off”
Kirishima types for a moment before texting back, “What’d he say??”. Bakugou considers telling him the truth, and eventually decides on yes, he should tell him, instead of likewise. Before he does, Kirishima texts “You’re being soo suspenseful! Tell me!”. He rolls his eyes and shoots a few more texts “shut up. He said i was probably just making excuses to be near him or smth, and he put a heart.” he pauses, sending the text.
“No way?! Dude really? Ya think he likes you? Mina thinks you’d make a pretty sweet couple!!” Bakugou grits his teeth, he can hear in his head that stupid teasing tone. “Shut it shit face! It’s not fucking like that. He’s js a confusing nerd." But… is he?? Kirishima’s words play in his head. “Yeahh whatever you say man, but if you wanna tell me im here.” He sighs, fuck this, he’s no help. “Yeah wtv.” and closes the text, this time speaking aloud to himself “Guess i’ll just ask him in person.” he rolls out of bed, already planning on how to ask Izuku.
