Second

Summary:

When the largest technological and scientific company was destroyed in an instant, the world fell into total chaos.

Your life hadn't been totally affected by the matters of the world. It was relatively the same, even with the sudden increase of gangs and fatal acts of terrorism. Nothing ever happened to you. At least, nothing really interesting.

But what if your entire life could change in a single moment? A single second could determine the future of the world, for better or for worse. And if you could change what happened during that one second, would you?

Would you sacrifice the world for yourself?

Chapter Text

Everyone has had those days where it felt like a week has passed by, even though it’s only been twenty-four hours. But not everyone has had a second feel like forever, that one moment in time prolonging itself for no reason, perhaps just to make you feel the agony you felt in that one second. And then your mind keeps replaying what happened, over and over again until it feels like your entire life has revolved around that one second. After a while of sobbing and isolating yourself, you find yourself slowing getting over it. But you can never fully  forget that one second. And it changes you.

All it takes is one second. Only one measly second.

One second changed me.

If you didn’t catch on, I am the protagonist of this particular story. After everything that’s happened in the last year or so, I would consider myself the victim instead.

If you would like to read on, then I won’t protest. But, perhaps after reading this book, you should burn it. I don’t really want anyone else to know about myself except for me.

Remember, this story was real. It did happen to you. Or me. Oh, whatever.

But, don't say I didn't warn you when one of the remaining members of the Skull comes after you.
