Work Text:
Klavier was in for a surprise that morning.
It was wonderful so far, Apollo had just moved in a few days ago and Klavier would happily say he was a lovely roommate. He was kind and thoughtful, making Klavier breakfast whenever he woke up earlier. He was organized and neat, almost to a fault, though Klavier would admit he looked adorable when he was organizing their closet.
This morning was calm and peaceful, Klavier had just woken up and had gone to the kitchen to look for breakfast. He didn’t feel like cooking breakfast—he was horrible at cooking—and was considering just eating cereal straight out of the box. That would’ve been easier, and what he used to do before Apollo moved in.
Then, he heard Apollo’s voice behind him, saying after a yawn. “Good morning, Klavier.”
“Guten Morgen, Haschen.” Klavier turned around to him. “What should we have for break- glasses?” He stopped and stared, Apollo’s glasses were new.
Apollo just looked at him with a confused expression on his face, the glasses made him look adorable. “Yeah? What about them?”
“You wear glasses, Herr Forehead?” Klavier asked.
“Yep.” Apollo replied, then adding. “Couldn’t find my contacts, pretty sure Mikeko pushed them off the nightstand, so I’m wearing contacts.”
“I see…”
Apollo made them breakfast—though that was a stretch seeing that all he did was hand Klavier a box of cereal and a carton of milk—and soon the two were eating. Klavier was zoning out a bit, taking in the moment of a quiet and domestic morning. Then, his gaze flickered to Apollo. He looked absolutely adorable in glasses, a new sight he never thought he’d see, a sight he didn’t consider to think about.
He wasn’t bothered by it by any means, he looked adorable. Though he did wonder…
“…Why didn’t you tell me?” Klavier asked.
Apollo raised a brow. “Didn’t tell me what?”
“Your glasses.”
“Why would I tell you about my glasses?”
Klavier chuckled. “I think that’s something you share with your boyfriend.”
“Oh.” Apollo frowned. “I just didn’t think about it.” He hummed in thought, then adding with a soft laugh. “I’ll be honest, I thought you already knew.”
“Well…” Klavier slowly smirked. “With how much of a nerd you are, I should’ve expected it.”
“You jerk!”
Klavier laughed, and though Apollo glared at him at first, he ended up laughing too.
