Chapter Text
“You know what? Fuck you.” Eddie spits at Richie. Richie had always pissed Eddie off, but he never got mad. He had always loved Richie deep down, but today, Richie had finally done it.
Richie had looked as if he’d been slapped. Eddie never said anything that he actually meant, but this time he sounded like he meant it.
“Eds-“ Richie begins, but he’s cut off by Eddie.
“No. No, you don’t get to ‘Eds’ me. Fuck you!” He sneered. “You just had to bring up my dad, huh you little fucker? Well thanks a lot. Lots of amazing memories there. Oh wait, there is no fucking memories because my dad doesn’t exist. He’s gone. You don’t think I fucking know that? Huh? So yeah, fuck you, Richie! Fuck. You.” Eddie runs out the door and into the freezing rain. He digs for his inhaler and takes a puff, exhaling a shaky breath.
“Eddie! Eddie! I’m sorry, let’s just talk!” Richie calls from the porch. His glasses had already started to fog up.
“You know, Richie, I’ve always thought you wouldn’t go this far. But you fucking did.” Eddie nodded, shocked. He crossed his arms in hopes to keep his body heat in, as he forgot a jacket when he went over to Richie’s house to hang out. Well, he didn’t actually forget it. His mom just wasn’t there to remind him. She was out grocery shopping.
“Look man, I’m sorry! I-I forgot that he wasn’t there and I forgot that you aren’t Bill and I always make fun of Bill’s dad! You know that!” Richie comes down from the porch and walks up to Eddie. “I-I just forget sometimes! I’m so sorry, Eddie, I am. Let’s just go inside and talk.” Richie says, shivering.
Eddie thinks for a moment, before slapping Richie across the face. His glasses fly across the concrete and land on the road, broken. Eddie realizes what he’s done.
“R-Richie, I-“ Eddie’s voice trails off, He and Richie are both too stunned to speak.
“I get it.” Richie nods, shamefully walking to the road to retrieve his now broken glasses. “I deserved that.”
“N-No, you didn’t. I didn’t mean to!” Eddie stands at his spot on the sidewalk, frozen like a statue. He was so frozen that if he held up his arm he’d look just like The Statue of Liberty. It was like his feet were cemented into the ground. He was stunned. Frozen. Lost in time.
Richie began to walk away. “Goodbye, Eds.” He mumbled, barely heard through the pouring rain.
“No! Rich!” Eddie called. Should he move and grab Richie? Or should he stay put like a statue would.
Eddie snatched Richie by the wrist and pulled him close. Richie is shaking.
“Please forgive me.” Eddie mumbled before lightly kissing Richie on the lips. Richie doesn’t pull away, He leans in more.
Eddie pulls away first, looking into Richie’s eyes for something. A reaction; a flight or fight response.
“W-Was that okay?” Eddie asked awkwardly.
“Was that okay?” Richie scoffs.
“I-I…” Eddie mutters, embarrassed.
“That was more than fucking okay. That was fucking amazing.” Richie grinned before placing a hand on Eddie’s waist and tipping him, Eddie’s leg is in the air when Richie kisses Eddie again. This time, a more deepened kiss.
Eddie’s lips were sweet to Richie’s tastebuds, and it was making him feral over Eddie. He wanted more. He needed more. Richie tipped Eddie back up on his feet, pulling him closer.
“Rich,” Eddie murmured against Richie’s lips. “Your glasses are broken.” Eddie swallows.
“I don’t care.” Richie responds. “At least i’m kissing you.”
