   Summary

   Since birth, Hyunjin was given the title of the Stripe Adorning Artist and has known he will be the bride of the mountain tiger god, Baekho. The land is plagued by an invasive and aggressive disease called the Blight, which Mudang and Guardians combat. During the annual autumn festival, Hyunjin receives a vision of where the Blight's source may be. The king dispatches the guardians to go investigate, and Hyunjin volunteers to go in an attempt to escape his fate, beginning an epic journey of self-discovery.
