Summary
This story is about an alternative world where Ponyboy Curtis grew up, moved out, left Tulsa, and changed his name to Shane Madej. He hunts ghosts even though he doesn't believe in them. He does it for the thrill of the chase, the adrenaline rush of the unknown, and the satisfaction of debunking the supernatural and his best friend, Ryan, who drags him along on these wild goose chases. Ryan, on the other hand, is a true believer, always on the lookout for definitive proof of the paranormal. Shane finds himself constantly exasperated by Ryan's unwavering faith, yet a part of him secretly enjoys the absurdity of their adventures. One evening they were searching the Brady Theater, which had been a former detention center after the Tulsa Race Massacre. Shane, a.k.a Ponyboy, reunites with his two older brothers, Darry and Sodapop.
