No damage was done. He'd kept the upper hand. Tachonis had already come, and Julien had been so blissfully close to toppling over the edge. So surely he can be forgiven for indulging in a few more kisses than he might have otherwise. Surely his lack of witty retort against the boy's soft-muttered words is totally explainable.
The memory may be recurring, but that is all it is. It's a sickening, heady little fantasy - a thing that will stay trapped in Julien's chest, where it belongs.
