Work Text:
Pyro runs as fast as their legs can take them, much faster than a human, but no way near fast enough to escape. It's exhilarating and terrifying all at once, running through the dead woods, knowing they have no chance of getting away.
Branches snap underway as Pyro races across the brittle, dry grass. Their footsteps are too loud against the eerie silence of the forest around them, but they don't dare slow. They know the moment they falter, the moment Pyro risks looking behind them, they will be caught.
They bat away the foliage, claws slashing through it in their desperation not to stop moving. Pyro can feel eyes on them, though they don't bother to search for their stalker.
Pyro can see their surroundings clearly despite the darkness, but they know for a fact that the predator prowling along behind them can as well. They don't tire no matter how hard their feet hit the ground, but they know their newfound endurance won't be enough.
Nothing they were capable of would ever be enough to get away from Scott.
It was a game to the elder vampire. Pyro was prey, and Scott made it clear he wanted nothing more than to hunt them down.
It's the uneven terrain that does him in, in the end.
A loose root sticking out from the base of a tree, his foot catching under it and sending him tumbling to the ground. In the seconds before Pyro hits the forest floor, he already knows that it's over.
That doesn't stop him from attempting to scramble to his feet again, but it's much too late.
A low, melodic humming echoes from behind him. Slow, purposeful steps approach and Pyro can feel his chest tighten in panic.
When Pyro gets the nerve to finally look at his Sire, Scott is standing above him, his grin wide and knowing.
They both know Pyro isn't going to be able to run.
Pyro's lip quivers, his body tense and curling in on itself. His instincts scream bloody murder, telling him to be as small and non-threatening as possible to appease the dangerous predator towering over him.
It doesn't do any good with someone as merciless as Scott.
Within seconds, Pyro has his back pinned to the dirt, his wrists held above his head in an unforgiving grip. Scott straddles his waist, thighs pressed firmly either side of him.
Pyro whines, wincing as the roots dig into his back. He looks up at Scott, fear and excitement mixing a conflicting concoction in his gut.
Scott presses his razor-sharp claws to the soft underside of Pyro's jaw, tilting his face up. Whatever expression Scott sees on Pyro's face must please him, because his next words come out in a purr.
“Caught you.”
Pyro swallows hard, Scott's slit pupils dilating at the movement of his throat.
“...What will you do with me now that you have me?”
Scott leans down until his lips are pressed to Pyro's ear. “I suppose I'll have to have my wicked way with you, firelight.”
Pyro shivers, swallowing again thickly.
Scott pulls back, staring down at Pyro's trembling form below him with hunger. His claws press harder into Pyro's skin, his smile full of intention.
It only takes a moment for Pyro to pick up on what Scott wants of him, though the thought makes him shake even harder. He can't tell if it's terror or eagerness that sparks the reaction.
Scott coos. “Don't be difficult now, Pyro. You wouldn't want this to turn into a proper hunt, now would you, my dear?”
Proper hunt.
Pyro could only guess at what that would mean, and nothing he can come up with ends well for him. It's tempting to push Scott into upping the stakes, but even Pyro isn't that stupid.
He doesn't doubt Scott's ability to make him suffer.
Carefully, Pyro tilts his head to side, baring his throat in what he knows Scott will take as invitation.
His throat tightens with nerves as Scott trails his fingers over the exposed skin. It isn't long before Scott's mouth finds Pyro's neck, ghosting over where his pulse once thrummed with life.
Anticipation weighs heavily in the air, the waiting almost as intense as the chase itself was.
Pyro flinches when Scott's fangs pierce the thin skin of his throat, a drawn out noise of both pain and pleasure escaping his lips. The feeling of being fed doesn't hurt like it did during his turning, instead the ache fading into an odd sensation that Pyro can't find entirely unpleasant.
A small whine leaves Pyro when Scott removes his fangs, the noise shifting into a moan as he licks a strip over the bite mark.
Scott smirks sharply down at him, a smug sort of amusement dancing in his dark eyes. Pyro squeezes his eyes shut, embarrassment over his reaction flooding over him.
His eyes shoot open though when Scott's lips are suddenly pressed against his, rough and searching. Scott's hand squeezes around Pyro's wrists, and Pyro does what he always does when it comes to his Sire.
He obeys.
Pyro returns the kiss clumsily, trying to match Scott's passion with his limited experience. His lips part, letting Scott explore his mouth and take what he wants.
It goes on like that for a while, neither of them needing to stop for breath. At some point, Scott had caught Pyro's lip with his fang, mixing the sweet taste of blood in with their kiss. It only makes it better, and despite the fear still humming inside him, Pyro wants more.
When Scott eventually breaks away from Pyro's bruised lips, Pyro tries to chase after him, before being reminded of his position pinned to the ground.
Scott watches him squirm, looking very pleased with the way this night has gone.
Pyro can't find it in himself to disagree.
If this was what it meant to be Scott's prey, Pyro didn't want to escape.
Not when Scott devoured him so sweetly.
