“Hold her still.”
Melissa moved to grip the other model’s shoulders. It wasn't necessary - she'd already been strapped down - but Velvette didn't like it when they squirmed.
The other model - and Melissa forced herself to think of her like that, better to forget her name - did squirm, purple eyes wide with fear.
“Ma’am, you don't have to - please -”
“Oh, hush,” Velvette said lazily. She pinched her nose shut and tilted her head back, holding the glowing pink vial to her lips.
It was quick.
Velvette handed the bottle to Melissa. “Start the timer. Let's see how long this batch takes.”
