Summary
The transmission lasts only twelve seconds.
A Vehicon scout patrolling the dead regions of Cybertron captures footage of a lone Insecticon before its signal abruptly cuts to static. The creature is unlike the feral drones Megatron once commanded — larger, armored differently, moving with purpose instead of hunger. Not lost. Not wandering.
Hunting.
When Airachnid is summoned to the Nemesis, she expects punishment for her past failures. Instead, Megatron demands answers. The Decepticons have encountered wild Insecticons before, but never one that behaved like this — disciplined, territorial, and utterly unafraid.
Airachnid recognizes the signs immediately. A lone soldier does not roam without reason. Not in the wilds. Not unless it belongs to something greater.
Somewhere in Cybertron’s forgotten wastelands, a swarm has formed beyond Decepticon control. It does not answer to Megatron. It does not seek alliance. And if this was only a scout, then something far more dangerous waits at the center of its territory.
