Summary
In 1984, Teresia lives on church property, does not believe in God, and makes the extremely poor decision to get involved with Charles Connors, the pastor’s son.
What starts as tension turns into secrecy, sex, jealousy, and the kind of love that gets harder to hide the deeper it goes. Unfortunately for both of them, they are surrounded by church people, gossip, family expectations, an ex who never fully went away, and a town that would love nothing more than to watch a girl like Teresia fall apart in public.
