Summary:

Instead of the Lawdog AU, I’m switching it up. No Wemmbu and friends working under Lettuce… I want Flame to do it. (This fic will NOT be Lawdog au.)

The proper Lawdog AU (apparently) wasn’t Lettuce acting out a sick desire on Wemmbu, but forcing him to fight and preventing betrayals by using a collar. I like the idea, but Wemmbu isn’t my favorite character. Flame is. And Flame has been told countless times he needs to “change”. Why not force him to by taking what he loves most?

Mane?

Lomedy?

Freedom?

Fighting?

I’m sure y’all know the answer.

BLOODHOUND.

Bloodhounds are large hounds famous for their sense of smell. Although they don’t have eye problems, their faces often lead to problems affecting their eyesight. Their appearance makes them look sad but they are quite the loyal and affectionate creatures. However stubborn and independent a Bloodhound may be, there is no denying their usefulness in their searches of missing people and fugitives.

Good thing the Law has a new hound in town! A very familiar hound some say.

Chapter 1: Introduction - What is BLOODHOUND?

Chapter titles or dialogue will come from songs. Some lyrics will be changed to better fit the theme. This is NOT a songfic. There will not be songs in here unless specifically said otherwise

Chapter Text

This isn’t my first work, nor will it be my last. This page is to explain more fully what BLOODHOUND is.

 

Time Period: It takes place during FlameFrag’s “I Became WANTED on the UNSTABLE SMP.” Instead of running away in canon, Flame ends up being captured because Lomedy is held as hostage. Flame cares for him too much, and his loyalty will be the death of him.

 

Plot: Lomedy is held as hostage by Deputy_Ace and Law. Lomedy already called Flame a “lost cause” earlier and screamed at him to leave, and he’s surprised Flame stays. To his horror, Flame gives up in order for Lomedy to not be hurt.


Regardless, they are both taken away. Lomedy is kept inside a nice cell compared to Wemmbu and his companions. The others are confused why Flame’s friend is there when he’s just a simple farmer. It all becomes clear later when Flame walks in. 

Flame has gone through all the horrors and is more compliant. Lomedy is terrified. Wemmbu and friends are stunned. Deputy_Ace is horrified. LettuceK feels growing pity. 

Edit O2: Although I took inspiration from Lawdog au, this is NOT Lawdog. I would like for people to refer to it as BLOODHOUND (Bloodhound). That is the name I came up with. The only similarities it shares (with Lawdog) is one of the protagonists working for LettuceK. Spoiling it now, Wemmbu still escapes with Spoke’s help. Flame stays but Spoke doesn’t realize and cannot help him. 

(I convinced Azz to make art for this so I am excited for that.)

 

SIDENOTE: I will probably not start the story with the events listed above. I haven’t decided. I truly want to jump into this book then wait around. Also, pay attention to implied stuff because it will be important to understand what’s going through a character’s mind.

(I will put what is implied in notes for those who either glance over it or do not understand.)
