Chapter Text
The Plastics were sitting at their usual table in the cafeteria, the one basically everyone knew belonged to them. No one ever sat there unless Regina said it was okay, which was pretty much never. Regina was casually picking at her salad, Gretchen was talking way too fast about something random like she always did, and Karen was staring across the room like she had just discovered something super interesting.
Suddenly Karen gasped a little and leaned forward.
“Do y’all know the new boy?” Karen asked, still looking across the cafeteria.
Regina didn’t even look up at first. “Who?” she asked in a bored voice.
Karen pointed across the room. “The boy with the messy hair who’s in the… what do you call that? The bandwagon?”
Gretchen immediately burst out laughing. “Band boy, Karen. It’s band boy. What do you mean bandwagon?”
Karen crossed her arms and pouted. “It was a mistake!” she defended herself.
“A horrible mistake,” Gretchen muttered, still giggling.
Cady, who was sitting with them, glanced over to see who they were talking about. “Wait… which one?” she asked curiously.
Karen pointed again, almost hitting Gretchen’s drink. “That one! The tall one with the messy hair and the black hoodie. He looks mysterious.”
Regina finally looked up and followed Karen’s finger. She watched him for a second while he talked to someone from the marching band.
Karen leaned closer to Regina. “You should go and reach out to him!” she said excitedly.
Regina rolled her eyes. “Please. I don’t date weird boys,” she replied, flipping her hair.
Gretchen leaned over Regina’s shoulder and looked again. “Okay but like… he’s hot though. Hello?” she said dramatically.
Regina squinted a little and looked again. “…Fine,” she finally said, acting like she didn’t care even though she was clearly curious now.
After the final bell rang and everyone started leaving the school, Regina spotted the new boy outside near the bike racks. He was standing alone, looking down at his phone, his messy hair falling in his face.
Regina walked over confidently like she always did.
“Hey!” Regina beamed, giving one of her most charming smiles.
The boy looked up a little surprised. “Hello,” Rodrick replied.
Regina leaned against the fence casually. “So… when did you get here?” she asked.
“Uhm… just last week,” Rodrick said, sounding a little shy.
Regina smirked slightly. “Shy. I like it,” she said while smiling at him.
Rodrick suddenly looked a little nervous and stepped back. “I have to go, bye!” he said quickly, turning around and starting to walk away.
Regina looked confused for a second.
“Wait!” she shouted after him.
Rodrick stopped but didn’t turn around yet.
Regina blurted out the first thing that popped into her head. “My pussy smells good!” she screamed across the parking lot.
Rodrick slowly turned around with the most confused look ever.
“Excuse me?” he said.
Regina’s eyes widened when she realized what she had just said.
“I mean—!” she started, trying to fix it but having no idea how.
Rodrick just stood there staring.
Regina groaned in frustration and threw her hands up. “You know what? Fine! If you don’t want me then don’t!” she snapped, turning around and starting to walk away dramatically.
Rodrick laughed a little.
“Who told you I don’t?” he said with a small smile.
Regina stopped walking.
She slowly turned around.
“Huh?”

They were in the private locker room, the one nobody else could even dream of entering. Regina’s mom had literally paid the school to make it exclusive for the Plastics, so it felt more like a secret clubhouse than anything else. The air smelled faintly of perfume and expensive hairspray, and the lockers were decorated with stickers that screamed we’re better than you.
Rodrick stood awkwardly near the door, his hands shoved in his pockets. “Uh… why are we here?” he asked, his voice echoing a little too loud in the empty room.
Regina flipped her hair and gave him a look that could kill. “To let each other know more about each other, duh.” She rolled her eyes so hard it was basically her trademark move.
Rodrick smirked, leaning against one of the lockers like he thought he was cool. “Are you sure?” he asked, his tone teasing.
“Obviously. What else would we even do here?” Regina shot back, her glare sharp enough to slice through steel.
Rodrick’s grin widened. “You know… kiss. And maybe more.” He winked, like he thought he was smooth.
Regina’s face twisted in disgust. “Ugh, fuck you!” she shouted, her voice bouncing off the walls. Rodrick just laughed, like her anger was the funniest thing he’d ever seen.
“Well, why’d you drag me in here if you didn’t want anything to happen?” he teased, his smirk never fading.
Regina crossed her arms, her lips curling into a smug smile. “You’re asking for it.”
Rodrick raised an eyebrow, about to say something smart, but before he could finish, Regina grabbed his shirt and kissed him. It wasn’t soft or shy, it was sudden and messy, like she wanted to shut him up and prove a point all at once. His eyes widened, then closed, and for a second the whole world felt like it had stopped. Rodrick attempted to grab Regina boobs but Regina slapped his hand.
Then—footsteps. Loud, echoing, getting closer.
Regina shoved him back so fast it almost hurt. “Act innocent!” she hissed, her eyes darting toward the door.
The door creaked open, and a teacher stepped inside. “What are you two doing here?” she asked, her voice suspicious but not angry.
Regina plastered on her sweetest fake smile. “Just talking!” she replied, her tone sugary and perfect, like she’d practiced it in front of a mirror.
The teacher paused, gave them a weird little smile, and walked away without pressing further.
Regina let out a huge sigh, leaning against the locker. “We almost got caught,” she whispered, her heart still racing.
Rodrick chuckled, leaning closer again. “So… round two?”
Regina shoved him back with a laugh that was half-annoyed, half-nervous. “Bitch, no!”
Regina shoved Rodrick back harder this time, her cheeks still flushed. She crossed her arms, trying to look unfazed even though her heart was racing. “Don’t get cocky. That was a one-time thing.”
Rodrick leaned against the locker again, smirking like he’d just won some secret game. “Sure, sure. But you kissed me first. That means something.”
Regina narrowed her eyes. “It means I wanted you to shut up. Don’t read into it.”
Rodrick chuckled, shaking his head. “You’re such a liar. You liked it.”
Regina scoffed, flipping her hair. “Please. I’ve kissed hotter guys than you.”
“Yeah?” Rodrick tilted his head, stepping closer. “Then why are you still standing here instead of kicking me out?”
Regina froze for a second, biting her lip. She hated that he had a point. “Because…” she started, then stopped, searching for an excuse. “Because if anyone sees you leaving the Plastics’ locker room, rumors will spread. And I don’t need that drama.”
Rodrick grinned wider. “So you’re protecting your reputation. Got it. But deep down, you’re curious.”
Regina rolled her eyes again, but her voice dropped lower. “You’re seriously annoying.”
“And yet,” Rodrick said, leaning in just enough to make her flinch, “you still haven’t told me to leave.”
Regina shoved him again, but softer this time. “Fine. Stay. But if you tell anyone about this, I swear I’ll ruin your life.”
Rodrick laughed, holding up his hands like he was surrendering. “Your secret’s safe with me, princess.”
Regina groaned, turning away so he wouldn’t see her smile. “Don’t call me that.”
