"Are you really going out dressed like that?"
Crowley, his hand on the doorknob, turned to the angel, shrugged, and replied, “Yes, why?” Aziraphale sighed and shook his head.
"Crowley, I know spring is coming, but it's still cold out there. The wind is particularly biting today. You’ll get sick if you go out like that. Come here." Crowley grumbled but obeyed anyway. As he approached, he saw Aziraphale rummaging through the chest of drawers in the entryway. The angel turned to him with a scarf in hand. Aziraphale slipped the scarf over Crowley's head, gently tied it around his neck, and tucked the ends under his jacket. Although Crowley didn’t yet feel the cold outside, he had to admit that he appreciated how soft and warm it felt against his skin.
“Thanks, Ang…”
Aziraphale cut him off with, "I'm not done yet," and pulled a matching beanie onto the demon's head.
Crowley let out a small laugh. "You know I'm just going to look at the garden and then come back, right?"
Aziraphale nodded.
"That doesn't change the fact that I'm not done with you yet."
Crowley was amused as Aziraphale took his hands and slipped on comfortable leather gloves. Once he was finished, the angel said to Crowley in a serious tone, "Now you can go."
Crowley replied, "You really are a mother hen, aren't you, Angel?"
He pressed a kiss to the angel’s cheek and whispered in his ear, "But I like it."
Aziraphale winked at him, “I’m only like that with you.”
Then, he brought Crowley’s gloved hand to his lips, placed a tender kiss on it, and pushed him toward the door.
“Go see your precious garden, and come back soon.”
Crowley obeyed, laughing softly.
Once outside, facing the cold weather, well bundled up thanks to Aziraphale, he thought to himself that it was as if he were wrapped in the angel’s warmth.
