Sirius pauses. Memories of how his fingers tracing the tanned skin felt, how his lips gently laid on his like someone would suddenly rip them apart any second, how the words were said in such a quiet tone they could not be accused of being muttered at all.
"But I don't know how love can be a sin."
Mother is so sick of Sirius and his nonsense, as a last resort, she obliges him to convert. He meets this one guy and then he gets even more fucked up.
Or, the pastor's son commits sin when he meets a troubled lad, Remus's beliefs he so dearly held, seem threatened.

Oh so ouch
OH MY GOSHHHHH BRO THAT HURT ME SO GOOD AND BROKE ME AND USUALLY I CAN ONLY READ STORIES THAT ALSO PUT ME BACK TOGETHER IN THE END OR I GET TOO DEPRESSED BUT WOW IT WAS SO INCREDIBLY GOOD AND I DONT REGRET A SINGLE SECOND OF READING
IT WAS BEAUTFIUL IN ITS HEARTBREAK AND THE REALITY OF THE SITUATION HURTSSSSSS
BROOOOO THIS LINE KILLED ME "Sirius wanted to be dead. And Sirius always got what he wants." BRO NO WAY JUST RIP MY HEART OUT OF MY CHEST AND STOMP ON ITThe tragedy was so realistic and that made it hurt more but also feel almost good in a bittersweet sad type of way. The idea of realizing something too late and almost regretting your inaction but not exactly regretting where your life has gone since and definitely not regretting the time you spent with that person. It's a hard feeling because there's such bittersweet, nostalgic longing now tied into thinking of that one person and all the memories you'll always have with them but never make again. Basically, this was amazing
