Summary:

Sage is a snake, and blablabla.

Truthlesssage fic~♡

Notes:

I said I was going to write a fanfic about Pure Vanilla Angel, but I saw some that inspired me, and I had to do it. (There might be references to other fanfics; I was reading them while I was writing 😵‍💫😅)
I promise you the next fanfic will be about Shadow Milk King and Pure Vanilla Angel. (I've almost finished the first chapter; I think I'll post it soon)

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Work Text:

Sage, the grand master of truth and professor at Blueberry Yogurt Academy, was a snake hybrid. In short, half cookie, half snake. He resembled a cookie except for a few things, like his split, blue tongue. His midnight-blue scales shimmered with a pale purple sheen in the sunlight. His pupils were thin, one white, the other black. But most importantly, don't forget his snake tail; it was like his scales, but he had legs too.

As the Sage of Truth, he knew of the legendary Peak of Truth. He had led his most capable students up the path to this tower to learn the absolute truth. And apparently, a cookie lived there, a pseudo-Truthless recluse. Even though their relationship wasn't exactly smooth sailing at first, with their constant arguments about right and wrong, they started to get along. This solitary cookie might have seemed like the meanest, most terrifying cookie, but he was actually the most empathetic cookie Sage had ever met.

But two things surprised Sage too. First, this tired cookie was his other half. Then, he learned that the hermit was also a hybrid, but not just any hybrid—he was a ram. However, Sage sometimes got headbutted by Truthless, usually when he wasn't feeling well.

But you might ask, how did he know? Well... it's quite simple. It was a very windy day, and the two friends had gone outside, especially Sage, who had dragged the other along. Then Truthless's hat fell off, revealing his magnificent horns—a little worn, certainly, but fabulous nonetheless. Sage was so obsessed with his horns that he decided to take care of them himself. In any case, thanks to him, Truthless's horns were fabulous!

___

Winter arrived, a season Sage didn't particularly enjoy. Why? Every winter, snakes would go to a den with their partner to keep each other warm, otherwise they would freeze. Being a snake hybrid, Sage had inherited this habit. He usually did it with his friends, like Eternal Sugar, but now she was too busy with her girlfriend, who thought her name started with Berry, and Sage couldn't force her.

So Sage decided to stay home alone all winter. Luckily, the school where he worked had a winter break and understood his situation, allowing him to extend his vacation.

___

Truthless loved winter. He didn't really have it, anyway, he usually stayed in his tall tower. He gazed at the sky and the grass already turning white. Then he saw a blueberry bird. He opened his window. The bird flew out, and there was a letter in its beak. Truthless took it and opened it, then the bird flew away. Strange... Usually, it stayed. Truthless read the letter.

Dear Truthless,

I am terribly sorry to inform you that I am very busy this winter. I will therefore not be able to see you anytime soon.

I only wanted to let you know, no need to reply.

Sincerely,

Sage, your friend.

Truthless didn't really understand what he could be so busy with that he couldn't see him at least once. He found it very strange. The only one who understood was why the bird had flown away instead of staying. In the end, Truthless closed the letter and told himself that it would give him a break.

___

It had already been a week without Sage. Normally, he would have been overjoyed, but unfortunately, because of Sage, Truthless was no longer used to his solitude. So he decided to see what Sage was doing.

He went to the school where Sage worked, but the school where he was on vacation. Truthless headed towards Sage's house. It was rather deep in the forest, far from everyone. He didn't know why Sage had decided to settle there. He knocked.

Knock. Knock.

No one answered. The door was open. Truthless opened it and closed it behind him.

"Sage?" Truthless began.

He looked through all the rooms. No sign of Sage. He had to look in the last room of the house, Sage's bedroom. He knocked again. Still no answer. He opened the door.

He looked around. There was Sage, wrapped in a blanket.

"Who is it..." Sage muttered.

"It's me, Truthless..."

"What?! How did you get in?" Sage jumped up.

"The door was open..."

"Oh yeah... Why are you here?"

"I wanted to know what you were doing that you didn't see me all winter."

"It's, it's just snake-like..." Sage blushed.

"Snake-like? Explain, I'm not one, remember?"

"I'm just a little sensitive to the cold, I need to warm up unless you want me to turn into an icicle!"

"Normally you don't do this with someone else?"

"Yes! But... My friend was with her girlfriend, I couldn't bother her..."

Truthless thought for a moment.

"I could help you."

"Why?! But..." Sage blushed even more, soon he'd look like a blueberry.

"I'm bored, and besides, it's just cuddling and keeping warm, I don't see any problem with it."

"I... Do as you wish."

Truthless took off his clothes, but left his pants on.

To keep someone warm, you have to avoid using clothes; skin contact is important!

Truthless had read that in an old book he'd found by chance.

Truthless moved closer to the bed and lay down.

"Shall I come? Or will you?"

"You will..." Sage muttered, blushing.

"Very well..."

Truthless began to move closer and cuddled Sage. Sage hadn't noticed that Truthless had wool on his body, starting at his neck and ending at his chest; there was some on his back too.

"You have wool?"

"Yes, I do, I'm an Aries."

"Interesting..." Sage smiled.

"..."

"Thank you, thank you so much, Truthless."

"You're welcome."

"You know... I love you very much..." Sage blushed, realizing what he had just said.

"I love you too, Sage."

Sage looked up at Truthless.

"Really?"

"Yes."

And now there they were, the two lovebirds, cuddling and kissing softly, in a slow, passionate embrace, their entire immortality before them.

"It's true that after snakes sleep with their partners, they reproduce—"

Sage threw a pillow at Truthless.

"You ruined everything!" Sage shouted.

Truthless laughed, and Sage got angry, blushing.

But Truthless wasn't entirely wrong. It happened often. Lonely snakes would find a lover, warm themselves with him, and in the spring, lay eggs, their offspring.

But that didn't mean the ram and the snake didn't want them

The end~
