Work Text:
It did not hurt, and that’s what Jimmy thinks scares him the most.
The little sheriff looks down at his right arm, seeing a huge crack across his porcelain forearm, a little piece of his arm, laying in the dirt.
Jimmy had been walking through tumble town when he tripped on a rock, poking out of the dirt.
He had instinctively put his hands out to catch himself on the ground, trying not to faceplant, but he had landed just right on another rock, cracking his arm, a piece breaking off.
The little doll feels tears start to pour down his porcelain face.
He does not know what to do.
He’s never broken his new porcelain skin before.
Jimmy pulls out his comn, texting the first person on the whole server that comes to his mind.
He sends them a message, telling them where he is, and that he needs help.
Jimmy cradles his right arm in his hand, looking down at the piece of his body that broke off, laying in the dirt, his vision blurry from tears.
It still does not hurt.

“Oh Jimmy.”
Jimmy looks up, seeing brown eyes, looking down at him with sympathy, the green streak in his hair recognizable as one one person (well god).
“J-Joel.” Jimmy sobs, he broke his procolin skin, what is he going to do?
The god crutches down carefully picking up his little friend, picking up the broken piece of porcelain from the dirt, “let’s get you fixed up man.” Joel says, carrying his little friend, heading back to his kingdom where he should have all the things he needs to fix Jimmy back up again.

Joel sets Jimmy’s little body down on one of the Greek inspired couches at his floating palace, going to get some glue.
The god comes back kneeling down in front of Jimmy.
The little man is still crying.
“Does it hurt?” Joel asks, opening the adhesive, gently taking Jimmy’s injured arm into his hands.
Jimmy wipes at his eyes with his left hand, “N-no.”
Joel nods, “I’m going to glue the broken piece back on, okay?”
Jimmy nods, sniffling.
The god puts the glue onto the broken piece of porcelain, carefully lining it up with Jimmy’s arm where it broke off, dabbing some more glue into the crack, holding it all together, waiting around a minute to let the glue fully set.
Once the glue is set, Joel lets go of Jimmy’s arm, putting the cap back on the little tube of glue, putting it away into his inventory to put away later.
Jimmy wipes the tears from his face, sniffling.
“How are you feeling?” Joel asks his little friend.
“A little better.” Jimmy says, “Thank you.”
“You're welcome.” Joel says, “If this ever happens again, don’t hesitate to call me again.” he says, “I don’t care what I’m doing, call me.” the god says, “Now, You’ll need to be careful with that for a day or so to make sure the glue properly cures, so how about you stay here in Stratos with me till then.”
“Thank you.” Jimmy says, reaching out for Joel.
The taller being picks up his little friend, holding him close to his chest, hugging him gently, aware of his godly strength and his friend’s fragile body.
