“Long ago, a celestial goddess created a being so powerful that it would never compare to any other.
It is said that this being could never be defeated nor killed. Many tried to do so, of course, out of fear that one day they would destroy the entire world! However, this being became the best shapeshifter and would always find a way to escape anyone who caught them.
Rumors have always run wild, declaring that this individual would protect the weak while slaughtering the strong that dared attack the innocent, although no one knows for sure!
Other rumors suggest that this person would slay anyone who stood in their way, no matter the reason why without explanation of any sort, all the while laughing as their foes lay dying before their feet!
Very little else is known about this person, such as what gender or species they even are, but as it has been foretold that whoever runs across this individual will either find themselves becoming an ally or enemy of them, so do tread lightly!
The last time they were heard of it is said that this person went to challenge Chaos Incarnate himself, but no one knows for sure if that’s true!
Unfortunately, no one knows what happened to them, as they were rumored to have been sealed away in a far-off location where no one dares to set foot in: The Forgotten Fields!
To whomever finds this book, beware, for this is the Tale of the Elemental!”

“Wow, what a lame ending! That sucked, Mr. Tang!” A young woman groaned out, dropping her head on the countertop.
“Gah, it was not lame, thank you very much, Mei! This was such a great find, MK, I’ve never actually heard of this story! And you say you found this at Monkey King’s place?!” Tang, who had been the one reading aloud the story in the first place, exclaimed. He hugged the book to his chest with an elated grin on his face, as a young man nodded enthusiastically. “Yeah, I found it lying around randomly while I was cleaning a cave! I knew you’d like it!” MK beamed.
“Cleaning a cave? That no-good mentor of yours slacking off again, MK?” A pink demon pig scoffed aloud, turning back around to go back into his kitchen to rummage around for something.
MK groaned aloud. “Ehhhhhh…no?” He started sweating bullets as the pig turned back around a spatula in hand and gave him a stern glare. “Oh, come on Pigsy! The Monkey King’s had enough going on as it is, with everything that happened earlier on! You know that!”
“The kid’s got a point, Pigsy! He wasn’t looking too great in the aftermath of freaking saving the world, you got to admit he’s earned a break! Isn’t that right, Mo?” A massive blue man put in his two senses in as he fed his blue cat.
“Seriously, Sandy? You’re on MK’s side in this?” Sandy shrugged as Pigsy huffed loudly and pointed at a ladle in MK’s direction. “Kid, you know as well as I do that you need a freaking break from training and whatever else the Monkey King has you do when you go and visit, too! You know that, right?” The hero sighed in defeat and pouted. “I know, I know! But he’s been so out of it lately, I thought I would help him out a little bit!”
“Just…don’t overdo it, alright? Don’t want you collapsing anytime soon!” The chef scoffed, as Mei suddenly let out a crackle of laughter. “What’s so funny, Mei?”
“Nothing, nothing! It’s just Red Boy! He’s still pissed off that we didn’t take him with us to the final battle!” The dragon girl giggled, a grin on her face as she scrolled through her texts. MK winced at that. “You’re still texting Red Son about that?”
“Nah, I’m just sending him memes to annoy him, that’s all! Speaking of memes, did you know that Bai He introduced memes to Macaque the other day and he laughed?!”
MK’s jaw dropped at that. “You’re kidding! He laughed?! Why?!”
Mei smirked, looking like a cat that had caught the canary. “Get this: he said that the memes Bai He showed him made him think of someone that he once knew a long time ago! And he wasn’t referencing the Monkey King, either! So, I was just thinking: who was Macaque talking about having such a reaction? I’m guessing it’s a past lover!”
Tang, who was slurping some noodles, choked and started hacking. Sandy, who was closest, smacked him so hard on the back it managed to save him. “GAH! Thank you, Sandy!” “You’re welcome, Tang!”
MK wheezed a bit in shock alongside Pigsy, who then let out a snort of laughter. “HA! A past lover?! Of Macaque?! You’ve got to be joking! Who would be brave enough to date that crazy lunatic?”
“Y-yeah! Come on, Mei! I highly doubt it! Besides, he’s never even said anything about him dating anyone!” MK yelped out. Mei rolled her eyes. “Maybe that’s because you haven’t asked him about it?”
“Me?! Why does it have to be me?!” MK squeaked out. “Because you’re the only one who could ask him without getting smacked, duh?” She drowned out, getting out of her seat, snagging the back of his shirt, and heading toward the door. “W-wait a second?! Mei, what are you doing?!”
She looked down at him with a devilish smirk. “I’m off to go hang out with Red Son and Ba Hei, and you’re gonna go ask Macaque if he’s ever dated anyone, that’s what!”
As Mei slammed the shop’s door behind her and MK’s terrified wailing faded, Tang looked back at the book he just read from. ‘The Tale of the Elemental? Wonder why Monkey King had this tucked away somewhere, and how did he get it? Does he even know he had this lying around? And who is this mysterious Elemental? Are any of the rumors true? Oh, I have so many questions!’

A desolate landscape stretches as far as the eye can see. Massive mountains of stone and rolling hills of barren grassland can be seen everywhere.
However, one place within this depressing place thrives with mango and peach groves: a vast trench that splits the landscape in two! In the very center of this strange trench is a sight that no one has ever seen before: one huge rainbow crystal encases a figure obscured from view.
That begins to change when an earthquake rocks the land to its very core, and the crystal splinters, shards start to fall to the earth and split apart to reveal its single inhabitant…
Who opens her eyes for the first time in centuries…
And speaks.
“It's about time..."
