Work Text:
Etho’s head hurts, but not in the sence like he has a headache, but it’s too loud even though it’s barely that loud out.
He’s had a long day at work, and nearly got a lot of sleep the night before, so he’s just assuming he's just tired.
He gets home and his husband runs out of the living room, a big smile on his face, “Etho!”
Etho hates to admit it, but even Bdubs’ voice is too loud, making his ears hurt.
He goes to voice that something is wrong, but nothing comes out.
He bites his lip, he just wants to lay down.
The white haired man snaps his fingers, trying to get Bdubs’ attention, then he covers his ears.
Bdubs looks up at him, “Oh, is it too loud?”
Etho cringes, nodding.
“Oh!” Bdubs says, covering his mouth, then signing, ‘Sorry’.
Etho signs back, ‘it’s okay’.
They both ended up learning sign language for days just like this (and it’s nice when they run into someone who can only converse that way too), days when Etho’s brian betrays him, the world is too much, and ‘normal’ conversation won’t work for them.
‘What happened?’
‘I don’t know.’ Etho signs back, ‘I’m tired.’
‘Bed?’ Bdubs signs back, tilting his head in a question.
Etho nods.
The two of them head to their bedroom.
Etho lays down on his side of the bed, laying on his back.
