Summary
When Juhoon stopped laughing, he realized the attention on him with a jolt. The smile fell. He wrapped his arms around himself, like he was suddenly cold, shrinking back. “What?”
Seonghyeon cleared his throat. Keonho seemed to come back to his senses. He shook his head like a dog, mumbling under his breath about losing the fight. It took Martin a little longer. James nudged him with his knee, and he made a sound like a gasp for air. Had he not been breathing that whole time?
“Nothing,” Martin coughed. “You looked—you should do that more often. Smile, I mean.”
Juhoon looked off to the side. His ears were red, noticeable even in the dim atmosphere. He took a cheeto out of the bag and threw it at Martin. It bounced off his forehead. “Don’t say that. You sound like a perv.”
Martin falls in love the only way he knows how—all encompassing, entirely devoted, whole-heartedly. James shoulders the responsibility of rationality in the face of emotion, when Martin can't conceptualize that some things can't be fixed by sheer will. Juhoon tries his best at normality. Keonho and Seonghyeon are somehow both too perceptive and painfully oblivious.
