Summary
When Prudence Weissblut is accused of witchcraft, she is given a choice: submit to the church’s “protection,” or be sent away to the manor of Lord Serenos, the fallen god feared by all of Ardrich.
But Feuerstelle Manor is not the prison she expected, and Serenos is not the monster the village claims him to be. As Prudence’s mysterious affliction worsens and the church tightens its grip, two outcasts find themselves bound together by their mutual isolation.
