Chapter Text
Following the events of episode nine, everyone is starting to adjust to the circus better. Caine is trying his hardest to redeem himself, and he makes good progress. Jax is still abstracted, but he seems content in the pillow tent, so they allow him to stay there. Everyone enjoys the new, open-ended adventures, and as long as Kinger keeps the bucket or stays in dark places, he’s fine. Gangle and Zooble even start to form a relationship! Everything is calming down.
But calm never seems to last long in the circus. After an innocent question, Caine goes back to the files to find some basic information. But upon skimming through them, he starts to realize a pattern– as well as outliers to that pattern.
Now he’s left with a choice– reveal to everyone what he saw, which might give them false hope? Or remain silent and avoid disappointment and upsetting the calm that had formed there?
The thing is, some digital lives could be on the line.
