Summary
A dying universe casts out one of its last survivors, a man named Simon who carries the final truths of his collapsing world, and sends him into the path of the only human left who can save him: Ryland Grace.

This fic does a lot of things fantastically but here is a quick rundown:
1. The SCIENCE:
The first chapter alone blew my socks off when it came to the detail and thought put into not only the consequences of Simon's initial injuries but also the process of mending them! The science talk doesn't go over your head but also doesn't talk down to you while keeping Grace's actions undeniably impressive. And it just goes on and on! Mechanical issues are handled with the same amount of care, you'll be starting to think that this author specialised in everything :D2. The Pinhole God
He had been saved by the blind, indifferent curiosity of something vast enough to tear open a universe without ever realizing it had done anything at all.
A force so unfathomably immense it could reach through realities the way a man carelessly brushes past dust motes in an empty room—without awareness, without purpose, and without ever even looking down to see the fragile thing it had touched.
Yeah that's awesome. I love me some deeper exploration into the mechanics of an outer god-type entity (oxymoron, i know. That's what makes it interesting)
3. Rock guy
Rocky is suck a delight to have in class. It's hard to thread the needle between making his translated speech too goofy or too refined. His 'voice' in incredibly distinct and contained to simple sentences but you can just tell his thought processes behind them and he frequently uses them to say absurdly profound shit. Full of character that guy!There are some just beautiful moments between the characters i don't even want to spoil anything, just trust me.
I am super duper excited to find out where the author will take me next!
Ch4 recap:
It ended with Simon remembering his Boss Encounter and them talking about the possibility of divine(-ish) intervention being the cause for Simon's sudden appearance. Neat-o. -

Post Biodome construction
Grace and Rocky find Simon in space.Grace makes impressive and detailed cellular and genomic biology to heal Simon.
Simon is terrified but non violent. Grace is super diplomatic and patient.
The fic is very slow paced. It takes a very long time for them to learn how to be in each other's space and they are very soft and gentle about it. Very relaxing Bloodymary fic.
