    Claudia Watkins is an eighteen-year-old senior student who studies at Welton Academy; one of the best co-educational preparatory schools in the United States. Raised by domineering parents, she must learn to seize the day.

    Claudia's circle of friends comprise Neil Perry, Todd Anderson, Knox Overstreet, Charlie Dalton, Richard Cameron, Steven Meeks, Chris Noel, and Gerard Pitts.

    A new art teacher comes to Welton. Felix Higgins. An alumnus of Welton Academy as well. Felix is a well-known artist born and raised in London. Despite of his youthful age and appearance of being a 23-year-old man, he became a highly respected artist as most of his works are displayed in the British Museum and in The Louvre.

    The two developed a secret romance that is illicit to Welton's standards. A teacher and student romance. But nevertheless, they found a way out to cope with everything.
