[As with all my stories, none of this writing is final and it is subject to change frequently!]
Cogwyn's eyes under the deer skull mask focused on the embers rising into the night sky from the bonfire in the center of the cultist camp. As a melee cultist, he had a job, and that was to serve The Deer. The camp smelled of cooking meat, wolf fur, and the distinct scent of freshly cut wood. The bonfire's flames licked the air like a hungry beast while Cogwyn's signature spear stood leaning against the carved log bench he was perched on. The spear's bright red cloth wrapped around the spear's stick under the spear's head glinted in the firelight. Allied wolves trudged past hauling wood, stone, and other resources, occasionally given a stick of beef jerky from a random cultist who decided that was a great idea. Cultists wandered about the large camp, conversing with each other light-heartedly despite living in a cursed forest.
"I'm telling you, man, that bear had it OUT for me!" One cultist insisted while making wild hand gestures like that enhanced storytelling somehow.
An opposing cultist walking beside him shook his head, crossing his arms, "You were literally holding a honeycomb, so that's a duh moment."
An allied alpha wolf, no—Clobber, a dark gray, almost black furred alpha wolf with a dark gray underbelly, glowing red eyes lacking pupils, and two pairs of protruding canine teeth sticking down from his upper gums. His distinct features include his right ear being subtly torn, his front left protruding tooth is broken halfway, and three large claw marks scaring his back—padded into the bonfire clearing. The alpha wolf tracked every cultist he passed lightly, as if ensuring peace and balance was kept within the camp. A few cultists exchanged nervous looks at each other, as the alpha wolf's presence was always linked to something serious. After all, the alpha wolf was Dasterian's, a high ranking crossbow cultist known across the camp as the 'Silent Killer' because he doesn't walk, rather just appears out of fucking nowhere without a sound. Dasterian, in fact, was known by many names, and 'loud' was not one of them, at all. Cogwyn sighed dryly, muttering something bitter under his breath.
Cogwyn ducked when a stick was poorly flung in his direction, "Missed me," he muttered flatly.
