Chapter Text
Today was Eddie's first day in a new school after there was a uh… incident… at his former school causing him to be kicked out. How unfortunate am I right? Luckily his parents found a new school right away and now it's his first day in it.
He took a few steps inside before whipping out his schedule and the map attached to it and looking at it like it was written in a weird foreign language, like something that Aliens would write. 'Shit' he thought. He had no idea where any of these classes could be located. Not only that but his own attire was just out of place when he looked around him even more. He had a suit and these kids around him had creative looking outfits. While walking through looking around for class 2-309 he bumped into a small group of kids. They all seemed like they were either in the 6th or 7th grade. One of the kids, a Small blonde with a white bunny ears headband and an Alice in the wonderland looking outfit started yelling at him.
"Hey big guy! What the hell do you think you're doing bumping into us? Can't you see where you're going or are you just too fat to see? Fucking chud! Get out of our way! "
they then puffed out it's chest out angrily and turned his head away like he was offended by the look of him. Eddie on the other hand felt anger slightly rise in his chest. Who the fuck did this little kid think they were to say all that over something as small as bumping? Before he could say anything the slightly taller kid beside him with Navy fading into coral with a sailor outfit and a hat that looked like an albatross started speaking.
"Dont say that! It was probably an accident! He looks like he's new to our cove actually!"
He said before smiling up at Eddie
"What's ya name matey?"
He asked out eagerly. Just before Eddie could even get a word in, the girl who was walking next to them let out a heavy sigh. Gosh he could barely get a word in the whole situation. They had black hair and brown bangs along with a lady bug looking outfit which made Eddie question this school's dress code.
"Sailor, let's not stick here and ask his name. We have classes to remember?"
They exclaimed before grabbing both the blonde and now from what Eddie knew Sailor’s backpack and started dragging them away. The blonde muttered curses while Sailor just eagerly waved him goodbye.
Eddie just stood there before the girl's words hit him. Crap he also has classes that he still doesn't have a single clue on where they are. So he started rushing looking around and frantically asking any kids around him where in the world 2-309 was. He eventually found it and by his luck before the bell rung and declared him late on his first day which would've been embarrassing. He walked in and sat down at a seat that wasn't too far back but also not near the front. He was just about to pull out a pen to use before he saw a kid leaning forward, looking at him with strange interest.
"Hmm… I don't remember seeing you around here… Must be new aren't you huh?"
Before he could even get a word in, another guy next to him spoke up gruffly. The guy looked hella stern but just like Eddie he had a suit so that made Eddie feel less weird about coming into school with a suit.
"He is. I checked the school files last night and it turns out he recently transferred here after a specific incident."
He said calmly which then provoked the boy's interest behind him.
"Ooo! What type of incident? Cheating? Fighting? Flunked out of it? Tell me Tell me Vick!"
"You gotta pay me first Benny."
"whateves just spill the beans!"
'Okay good'. Thought Eddie 'Now I atleast know these guy's names…' His hands tapped on his desk nervously as he saw the 2 bickering over his past which made Eddie think. How did this Vick guy even know what he did? His thoughts were everywhere until a gentle caring voice spoke up.
"Now now… let's not rush the poor guy! He's new here, no? Let's welcome him!"
The girl looked really elegant, similar to a bird with how her attire looked.
"Im cecilia dear… Welcome to our school! I'll happily show you aro-"
"Can I do that?"
Benny interrupted as he eyed up Eddie with a grin. It was clear he wanted to show him around and was eager to do so. Yet Cecila shut him down.
"I'm afraid not sweetie… I know this place like i Know my-
"Like how you know rook in bed?"
Benny said, which made Cecilia's face flush a slight pink and made a girl whom Eddie assumed must've been the Rook girl stand up and gasp loudly.
"Nonsense! Me and Cecila are great companions that have done nothing lewd or any of the sorts!"
She said as she stormed over towards Benny which then prompted a slight argument. Cecilia tried to calm down Rook and Benny just kept aggravating it. Eventually the fight stopped when the teacher came in and ordered everyone to sit down. Finally some inner peace for Eddie as he listened to the teacher explain the lesson. Luckily the teacher didnt give a single fuck that he was new and didnt call him up infront of the class to introduce himself which was nice. Midway writing down notes a paper ball landed in front of Eddie. He opened it up slowly out of the teacher's view and read it.
[Yo Eds! Meet me After class and I'll show you around the school! I know many spots to hide and skip classes in and even where some couples like Cecilia and Rook like to make out, heh… I'll even tell you about the students and help you find your classes! Just remember where to meet me! Signed by yours truly Benny! :) ]
Eddie looked at the note then back at the race car driver looking boy before writing a simple okay on the note and passing it back. Which Benny's eyes light up upon seeing.

As the bell rung for lunch and students filed out of their classes Eddie looked around for Benny through the bustling hallway. 'Holy shit can any of these people walk fast enough?' He thought before bumping into a guy. Great, he was just wonderful at doing this apparently. When he looked down to apologize he realized it was the same sailor kid.
"Ahoy there Orca man! I didn't think we would crash into each other once more!"
Sailor said cheerfully as he waved at him.
"Ocar man… Who's that?
Eddie asked Sailor which then prompted the boy to snicker into his sleeves before pointing straight at him proudly
"Why that's you matey! I didn't get your name so I decided to name you myself and thought of Orca man! Ain't it Terrific pal!
Sailor said proud as ever at this clever naming process which Eddie just chuckled slightly at.
"Ah… I see. Well my name is actually Edywn but most people call me Eddie…"
Sailor looked at him with his mouth shaped in an O as if shocked at this new revelation even though it was just a name before rubbing the back of his neck sheepishly
"Well… Can I still call ya orca man or would you prefer to stay as Eddie or Edywn…?"
Eddie gave sailor a small smile as he shrugged his shoulders
"Yeah sure. You can call me orca man…"
Sailor's eyes lit up as he leaped into the air excitedly at being able to keep his little nickname for Eddie. He slightly tripped on his footing though which caused him to fall flat on his butt.
"Yeouch…"
Sailor said as he rubbed his back.
"You okay kid?"
Eddie asked, worried at Sailor wanting to see if he was okay before a hand clamped down on his shoulder hard. He looked back to see an angry and large looking guy staring him down. Even though Eddie was shorter than him the way this man was built made him feel as if he shrank down even more. He was built like a tank and with those scars it felt as if he could snap Eddies spine.
"Did you push him?"
The guy asked angrily. Before Eddie could try or stammer a defense Sailor got up and shook his head while going towards the guy. His arms were raised as he went onto his toes just to properly pat its shoulder
"Sharkbag hold up! Orca man did not push me! I just fell by accident!"
Sailor said to the guy. "Sharkbag" visibly relaxed as he rubbed his neck in a sheepish manner.
" Ah sorry then captain.. And to you too orca man.."
He apologized. Now that it was apologizing he could see how less intimidating he was. It was as if ‘sharkbag’ was just overprotective.
He started walking off towards the lunch area with Sailor trailing after him, waving Eddie goodbye before he started to chat with Sharkbag. They seemed brotherly despite being complete polar opposites. Eddie's thoughts about them were interrupted by 2 hands squeezing his stomach in a tickling manner. Eddie flinched back before looking at Benny who was just snickering.
"What's up eds! Couldn't find you at the lunch line so i looked around and saw you talking with sandbag and sailor! Say, why was Sandbag looking at you like it was about to pummel you to the ground?"
Benny asked curiously which then Eddie just shrugged his shoulders
"The guy- I mean sandbag thought I pushed down Sailor… Luckily sailor explained the situation…"
Benny just nodded his head before ruffling Eddie's hair which Eddie just let out an annoyed grumble at the touch. They had barley just met and Benny was acting like they were friends for years.
"Well I wouldn't assume less with sandbag! Ever since that sailor guy transferred here and showed our former loner sandbag some love they've been tight friends ever since! Even helping him get more friends in this school! They are like father and son, you know? And plus it's good that Sailor explained everything. I heard that Sandbag was a former fighter before he came here. I got a taste of that fighting spirit first handed when I tried to squeeze his biceps during P.E. That guy punched me HARD i tell ya! All good though since he apologized after words."
Eddie thought over the whole thing and breathed a sigh of relief. He sure was glad Sailor did put a good word in for him. If sandbag hit hard over bicep squeezing who knows how hard it would've hit If he did think that Eddie pushed Sailor down.
"Either way come! We only have a few minutes for me to show you around here before lunch ends!"
Benny piped in through his thoughts with a bright grin. Without even letting Eddie think a bit more on the matter Benny started pulling him through the halls and showing him where everything was. Looks like this school is far from what Eddie first expected.
