Rose found out about their engagement the same way she found out about their relationship and Shane’s surprise trade to the Raiders: ESPN.
Rozanov had posted the picture to Instagram with the simple caption “my future husband and the second best player in the league.”
In it, his arms were wrapped around Shane from behind, one around his waist and the other touching his jaw. Shanes head was tipped back to smile at him. A black ring with a gold band (Raiders colors; clever) was visible on his finger.
Rose couldn’t get past the way that they looked at each other.
Shane gazed at Rozanov adoringly like he had personally hung each one of the stars in the sky, and Rozanov caressed Shane like he was a priceless treasure. She has never seen either of them so happy.
She had no idea how she had ever confused Shanes carefully rehearsed performance of being in love with her for the real thing now that she saw what it actually looks like on him.
She would have to let her PR manager know that she won’t be taking any questions about this no matter how much it annoys the press.
“I at least want to be able to say that I lost you to the life that you should have been living all along.”
Whatever else you can say about Shane Hollander, he never backed down from a challenge.
