Summary
First contact was a rollercoaster for Humanity--finding great friends in their new avian Cornacchiaris allies, then a great nemesis in the snake-like Serdanisk. A haphazardly cohesive Humanity, under the banner of a militarized UN, endures the first ever interstellar war in the history of all three species. Nobody wins, but everybody loses. Borders shift, humanity splits, a crown rises, and a federation of independent systems forms: The Free Systems.
You follow Tajara, a spec-ops veteran of the newly crowned Serdanisk Monarchy, fleeing after members of her team begin to go missing. Finding shelter across the stars, she takes one last gamble to reach the planet of Velatum, following an old and untouched offering on a job board.
Though, as she finds her place, eyes in the shadow are watching, waiting... to step on that snake and find out all she knows, just as tensions begin to rise anew.
