Chapter Text
In the weeks after Peter’s extremely eventful trip to Europe, he was shaken and terrified every day, and Tony didn’t know how to help him. He knew Peter wasn’t going to feel safe until Beck was in custody, but he had escaped after the whole fiasco in London and no one had been able to find him since.
Tony had worked tirelessly to hunt him down, but nothing had worked. He was tired of constantly seeing his kid walking around, shaken and scared.
“Hey Tony?”
Tony spun his chair around to see Peter standing behind him. He smiled tiredly.
“What’s up, kid?” He asked, indicating the chair across his desk.
Peter wandered over to it aimlessly and sat down. “Have you found him yet?” He asked hopefully.
Tony hated the fact that he had to shake his head.
“Not anything?”
Tony looked away and tried not to cry. He sounded so defeated.
“Sorry kiddo,” he had to whisper.
Peter pulled his legs up in a crossed position and stared at his lap.
“How ya doing today?”
Peter shrugged but it was shaky. “I’m… alright, I guess. I’d feel a lot better if we had some lead on where he could be.”
Tony sighed. “I know. I’m doing my best. You should try to get some sleep, tesoro.”
Peter gave him a pleading look. “Can I help you search?” he asked.
“Is that actually going to make you feel better?” Tony wondered.
“Probably not,” Peter admitted.
“So go get some sleep. I promise I’ll wake you up if I find anything.”
Peter stood up. “Okay. G’night Tony.”
“Good night, kid.”
