Summary
After falling in love with surfing at the age of 10, Ilya Rozanov, 18 years old, decides to go live in Hawaii for the summer in prediction of his first big competition, which will happen at the end of August. He goes surfing one morning when he shouldn’t and almost drown -- but a mysterious creature half-human half-fish is going to save him. He will not be able to keep those long dark hair, those golden eyes and those freckles out of his mind.
Shane Hollander is 23 and spends most of his time on land as he is a lighthouse keeper. He is surprised to know that Ilya remembers the saving, because humans are not supposed to remember when they get saved by a mermaid. Shane truly wonders what makes Ilya special for him to remember the drowning.
